It does look real indeed, it's too much effort to put into a phony video I would think, but it's very strange that there's nothing about it on the ea site that I could see

Well after posting the link, I did see a referrence to it being a possible Futurecop demo video (where they got buildings, terrain and vehicles from) cum BF2 (soldiers) vid mix.

I guess its a hoax :\

Looks promising though. I've always dreamed about a battlefield style game set in a sci-fi universe :)

(Like Planetside - but one that doesn't suck)

make it a pc game fuck the xbox i dont want a console dragging the port down, i own the ps2 version of bf2 also, tis not just the stripping down of elemtns for hardware its the fact u cant do shit on a controller in a veichile fps like this

Well with the Earths Poles having the ability to shift itself every ten thousand to a million years or so, a scenario like that in the game wouldn't be implausible if the pole shift started in a couple of decades or so. Although the vehicles tend to be a bit too sci-fi oriented.

In a real combat situation, that things better off with tracks (like the ones under a tank) under its feet for horizontal movement. The legs can be folded for regular movement and heavy weapons fire (cannons) and unfolded (standing up) for firing at light targets on the ground or elevated targets on a hill.
