So what will today bring? I don't know, all I know is I have to be more productive at work today. I can't spend the day forum trolling like I did yesterday. I only have 3 weeks to finish my project so.....

Yesterday, I took Zeph, Waib, Schwei, and Allia through SM .... well their alts anyway. Zeph and Allia did their best to get me killed aggroing everything and then fearing everything in tandem to aggro even more stuff. Haha it didn't work! I lived with 300 hp left and was saved by a sheep and a health pot. Of course they did let me die when I left the armory flagged and as they ran into the instance was ganked by a 60 shaman and a druid. They got no love for me I tell ya!

Next on the instance list is Uldaman. I still have a couple of quests to get in there by Thursday since I know Waib will be ready by then. We are looking for a 60 to twink us through. Any volunteers?

Today will be a total alt day. I wanted to reach 42 yesterday but SM and a failed ZG attempt got in the way. I am 3 bars away and I should have that by the time Waib logs on today. Then we shall kill Kurzen!

I have a question, why did Blizzard make the DI Breastplate BoP? This basically means in order to wear the damn thing you have to a) find/buy the recipe for large sums of money on the AH and b) be an armorsmith. Was this Blizzard's way of trying to buff up the armorsmith path? The armorsmithing path as well as all of blacksmithing really sucks once you hit 60 because it stops being a viable money maker. At least enchanting and alchemy/herbing is a steady source of income because people always need them as our BWL runs attest.

How did your chrom/nefarian go this week, cleared Aq20 yet?

We ran out of sand on Chrom (first shot at time lapse) so we gave up. Plus people were tired of raiding so we called a break until Wednesday to recharge our batteries. We did well on Chrom until he hit 20% and goes nuts, we couldn't keep up with the constant stuns.

Do you know if FAPs work on the bronze affliction?

Not sure about FaP poitions, never tried it.

I smile every time we get TL, its just like eZ mode for MT healers (no nasty acid/ignite). We had it for our first 5 kills back when it was still bugged, randomly wiping all MT aggro when he resisted TL was so much more fun :P

If you are running out of sand, make the healers use it at set percentages, 60/30/15 etc, and have everyone manage through bronze. Its what we did on our first few runs through.

For that to happen you need to give the healers sand in the first place, which was not done, hence our interest in FAP.

As for the cost of the recipes, I have never understood that for a second. Almost a year ago when I started playing, Corruption plans were near 100g (no kidding). Around April/May they were still around 50g...which is odd because if you are a swordsmith, the plans loot Corruption 100% of the time. I was lucky, someone in my guild had the plans in their bank and just gave them to me. I was able to craft this weapon ahead of time, and actually equipped it in Felwood upon leveling...very proud moment.

Good news is that Corruption plans rarely sell at all, and on ah list for about 5g.

That being said...

Now the cost of plans that REALLY get me are the tailoring ones. Roeb (my priest) has Truefaith Vestaments only because, once again, I was given the plan (thanks Waz). Check this out though...you have to be a Priest and a 300 tailor....granted a good majority of priests are tailors, but still...how do you charge 100g+ for a pattern that is BoE, that produces an item that is BoP, that can only be used BY that person (i.e. can never be sold for profit), and probably will only do it once ever. Did i mention the mats list?

12 Bolts of runecloth (not a big deal)
10 Mooncloth (which really means 20 felcloth and about 2 mos of 'transmutes')
04 Righteous Orbs (400g+ or in my case 12 trips through Scarlet Strat)
04 Golden Pearls (I have played this game over a year, I hav N-E-V-E-R looted a golden pearl yet...and not due to a lack of trying either)
10 Ghost Dye (the reason JWK is an alch was (a)transmutes (b)ghost dye)
02 Rune Thread (meh)

I am now faced with the same thing on my Warlock. He's level 51 now and is a 297 tailor. I am having a hard time justifying 50g on a pattern that will produce a one time item with a mats list of:

12 Bolts of runecloth (meh)
10 Essence of Fires (ouch...but fairly easily farmable or trade with guild bank*)
40 Felcloth (if you see an unguilded Warlock in felwood non-stop grinding on those demons...give a wave)
20 Demonic Runes (SEE ALSO: Fecloth)
12 Essence of Undeath (meh...they fluctuate in price but I have about 30 that i got for 1g each)

*He's still unguilded because I wanted the challenge to see if I could level to 60 without being in a guild. I have run:

Deadmines
Stockades
RFK
SM
ZF
BRD (up to windsor but the group disbanded when the priest used soulstone lying RIGHT next to a dog patrol and the key holder's body for windsor's jail cell rotted away without being looted...there were some unhappy 60s on that one)

All unguilded with random pick up groups


In the end...i am just glad i'm not a friggin' mage wanting that BoP robe:

errrrr, i dunno yet what i want to do. I am enjoying my freedom at the moment, i am liking the idea of not having to do anything or report to anyone and being able to go anywhere i want. If you guys want me to help out in instances I gladly will if i am not saved, but as it stands I'm on a first come basis and if i get saved with someoen else then well... you know, sucks to be you kinda thing :P I want a few more days of this total freedom before i even think about rejoining another guild or maybe even staying as is.

ZG was fun as a mage.... but i also had Lardgibs healing me so thats probably why i lived throught the insane encounter at the end. I dont know if i'm too enthused about going on a priest.... ewwwwww Maybe If i keep up all these instances with you guys i'll actually get a healing spec when the new talents come out for priests, lol. My plan was to solo to 55 and then respec and learn how to heal so i could do instances, lol. Shadow ftw :P

My theory is this, if you have quests for instance 'x' you should be allowed to go to instant 'x'.

Every one of my toons, except my lock now, went to ZF IMMEDIATELY after purchasing their mount to get the Carrot. Because my lock is unguilded and trying to find a PuG with the damn hammer is IMPOSSIBLE, I still am missing my carrot.

My Lock has done Dragonkin Mennace and followed it all the way through to going to see Windsor. He was level 50 when I went to BRD, but the the silly priest used the Soulstone when the dog pat was sitting on her head...then the corpse rotted out before anyone could loot. We broke the group up, I went back to IF...the next 3 groups forming all refused me because i was only level 50...


My other one that drives me nuts is that you can get Attuned to MC at level 55. However, people go insanely nuts if you try to go to MC pre-lvl 60. For the record, my priest went to MC at level 57, 58, and 59 and did just fine. My Druid started going to MC at 58 and dinged 59 in the core on a Molten Giant.


Stop hating on the levels...if you can get the quest take them with you

This is a reason not to take them, not to mention that there are basic fairness and seniority issues and an almost proven fact that a 59 (or 55) has crap gear and is a burden.

Go buy AV arrows, nub--they're way cheaper and way purtier. Yes, they only add 16.5 damage per second, but did I mention that they're cheaper? And purtier?!

1. You don't need a high rep w/ AV to buy the arrows and since the Alliance always wins AV, you could be honored w/ the Stormpike Guard in one evening's grind.

2. Ice-tipped Arrows are prettier and only 1 point below Thorium Arrows DPS-wise.

3. Do Thorium headed arrows stick out of mobs when plunked at them? NO!

4. 200 ICA = 54s--nuff said.

Therefore, Ice-tipped Arrows > Thorium Headed Arrows.
