So, I've been switched to first shift for the time being, and I definitely like it better than second shift because I get to be half asleep for the first four hours of work (which is a good thing, my job is boring and it sucks). I only cut my finger once today, too! I'm getting better at this :P
After work I stopped by my dad's to see if I couldn't pick up some personal items such as my books and my copy of WoW - only to find the locks had been changed.
Same $%^&ing story as when I got kicked out of my mom's...locks changed within the week. I've reached the point where I'm like, "You know what? F this stupid family." I'm sick of putting up with their bs. My dad knows well enough I'm not allowed to be in contact til March 14th, and he knows there's still stuff I NEED that my sister didn't pick up for me the first time she dropped by. You think he could leave the old locks in for long enough for me to pick up MY belongings. It pisses me off because now MY stuff is locked in HIS house, and the only way I can get them is by going over when he's home, but I'm not allowed to talk to him or anything so basically I either have to A) Wait til March 14th to get my stuff, or B) send my sister over and hope she grabs the right things.
I've pretty much decided that I'm not going to beg my dad for my laptop back. Even if he WAS willing - which is seeming less and less likely - he would only use it to have a certain amount of control over me, and I don't want anything he can hold over my head. Therefore, as much as I hate to take charity of any sort (I'm true to myself in-game and out), if the offer of pitching in for a computer for me still stands...I'd be eternally grateful. Of course, I do have money of my own and I'd be more than willing to pay whatever's left over (or buy the entire thing if the offer doesn't still stand), but I'm definitely not going to sit around and wait for my dad to stop being an immature brat and give me my laptop. I refuse to be at his mercy, as much as I miss WoW.
