View Full Version : 2-15-2006 Wednesday The Day After....

I hope everyone had a grand V-Day with their significant other. I was sad to hear that Zeph and the boy couldn't go out due to a flat tire, but at least he gets to be a romantic on Saturday. I hope to hear today that Mike had too much to drink and just told embarassing story after embarassing story about Jon to his date. They went bowling so I expect nothing less.
As for me....I have decided that I will avoid going out to eat on Valentine's Day from now on. It just isn't worth it. You see I live in a town full of restaraunts that don't accept reservations. It just isn't big enough to worry about such things. So basically you have to get there early and hope. Anyway, we went to the first place and got their before 6pm to try and avoid the rush...too late parking lot already overflowing. So we say screw it we will go eat at one of the million mexican restaurants around here, too late overflowing. So we end up eating at the bar in front of the magarita mixer. It was still enjoyable because it wasn't a date or anything. However the experience made me realize that I coudl do the same thing on Feb 13 and life would be so much easier.
Btw, I had the Michelob Ultra Amber last night with dinner. I really really like that stuff. I am a huge Amberbock fan, but beer doesn't do well with my stomach. The Ultra Amber though was perfect. I might just buy a 12 pack for Friday nights run and see how I feel in the morning.
Man I forgot how good sleep was. The past 2 nights have been awesome. No late night raiding meant being able to go to sleep at a normal time (for me anyway) and it is doing wonders for me. The sooner we can cut back to 3 nights of raiding the better baby.
So what did we do in game yesterday? We farmed for chops! Yes, Waib, Zeph, and I went to Ferelas and gathered some tasty raw meet for Winsome's lottery. How did we do? 12 chops in about an hour. Yes you heard it right, 12 chops an hour. So that gave us 4 entries a piece (I believe, unless the rules were changed again) and hopefully I will win.
However I am torn about where I want to go. By the time the weekend is over, my rogue might need Uldaman. However, I need money and shards (yes Cammy I am trying) so Scarlet seems like the place to go. But, I really need that FoW so I will still probably head us to BRD. Of course if I don't win the lottery this is all in vain.
Tonight is BWL night. Remember, Razorgore is still tricky, lets not overlook him. Vael is still a pain in the ass. One screw up and its a wipe. Bad BA order and its a wipe. So come focused and lets try and one shot him. ON the other hand, maybe it is just me, but the Broodlord doesn't scare me anymore. The healers are doing alot better keeping the tanks up after that gawd awful MS and the DPSers are keeping aggro in check. Since we downed him the first time, we have one shotted him on all but one occassion. So lets try and go fast (which means be on time) and get a crack or two on Firemaw tonight.

I got my engagement ring last night, it was a good night all in all.
I won't be able to go tonight to BWL. I have work and then a test tomorrow to study for and I just can't stay up that late.

Asa, you are a brave brave man, but if you are willing to spend the jack needed for an engagement ring, she must be worth it.

Tonight is PvP night and I'm not really looking forward to it. I was in Alterac Valley all weekend--made it to revered w/ the Frostwolf Clan (even got the BC team to join and won one for the Horde--OMG Horde PuGs are a pathetic bunch of losers that have no clue what it takes to win in there. omg. OMG!!!). Killed Onyxia last night, cleared MC to Ragnaros Saturday night, but left the raid before the fight so someone who'd put in the time for FR gear could have a shot (they got him down to 5%) and went to Scarlet Stratholme for the first time Sunday night (in my Crusade gear, natch) and won the Valor helm in Scholomance.
It's kinda hard getting groups together to do what I want to do (all of Dire Maul, BRD Emperor Run)--I'm so far behind everyone else--I tried leveling alts, but I HATE it (not having a horse, being wary of my aggro radius, questing in Mulgore, etc). I found a nifty little website that lists "things to do at 60" that contains quest lines I didn't even know about or had only partially completed, so, I'm gonna work on that. as well as FR gear (I'm up to 85--haha). Also, I have 4 months of TV to catch up on, so, there's that--I'm starting to feel normal again! (Done w/ WoW by 10pm, asleep by 11 = "normal" to me)
But tonight is PvP night. :(
Cammy
Feb 15, 2006, @ 03:02 PM
Poor Hatchet /comfort.
Once Baltem gets to 48-49 we will start leveling together and hopefully get to 60 fast, then we can party up and run stuff since we will need gear too ;)
Hatchetface
Feb 15, 2006, @ 03:08 PM
Haha--I didn't mean to sound pathetic! I haven't really made an effort to get groups together, either. It'll happen. Right now, I'm just basking in the afterglow of completing the Epic PvP and Scarlet Crusade sets. ;)
I need to pull Beerdrinker off of his latest alt and make him do my bidding.
HEAL HATCHETFACE!
Zul Farrak is one of my favorite instances, Cammy--when you and Bal are ready, I have the mallet. (And the Maraudon Scepter for Princess runs and the BRD key and the scroll to start the Hakkar event in ST AND--of course--the Scarlet Key ;)).
Cammy
Feb 15, 2006, @ 03:26 PM
lol. Sounds like major twinkage inc ;) I think Bal and I are done with ZF (I only want the helm from the chief who never drops it :(. ) But yea Mara and ST are my soon targets for instances and I have a few quests already for them. Another spot that we will prob need help in is The Hinterlands, the elite quests in that troll city are too hard to solo. (I tried) Very nice quest rewards though  .

Wow, I havent commented today...So Yeah last night I played some more COD:2, Stubbs the Zombie wasn't played at all. My Gnome Warrior now = level 14!!! ZOMG HEAL HEALMEH!!!!
I used to have an undead female warrior that I got to 18, and I kind of liked the class, I guess i'm more of a melee fighter
Paladin(Outside of instances anyways)Rogue/Warrior/Hunter/Feral drood(Level 40 now)
But yes I have all the cloth type characters made...infact most classes I have played above the 20-30 range on every single class except a priest/war (To learn about balancing I would suppose and more about the class)

Waib hurry up and level, my rogue is getting ready to head to the badlands and do Uldaman. She is lonely and would like some gnomish comfort!
Btw, Sunday is going to become alt day since MC is no longer priority number 1 and I have church and soccer games to break up the day. So that will give me a weeks worth of rested XP to get burn.
Oh btw, I will need another twink through the library in SM since I am actually going to do the quest to get the sword of serenity. I should have done it before I got Zeph killed but sometimes I just don't think. I would get Hatchet to do it, but unfortunately Blizz won't let me.
Btw, managing aggro radius sucks.

Feb 15, 2006, @ 05:52 PM
Okay...So my Senior year of high school We went to fast food basically every day because we went out to college half day's, So I order 2 apple pies off the dollar menu from Mcdonalds...well it was around thanksgiving time so the big thing were pumpkin pies, We were running a bit behind schedule and the building was about 10 minutes away and we had about 40 minutes to class, so I drove all the way out there (class after mcdonalds) with my food in hand we walk in the building and I sit and start eating it, I take out the first apple pie, all is good and well and I eat it. The second apple pie they stuck a pumpkin pie in the box...Well as my friend would say, You know how Waib is Bipolar right? That's what he said to Zeph in Teamspeak. So I went all the wya back to Mcdonalds ( We have about 15 minutes until class now ) and I slam the box on the counter and Said Does this look like a fucking apple pie to you? I open it half eaten and it's a pumpkin pie, and they kept apologizing and what not and then I say oh yeah you forgot a double cheeseburger too. So I wait for that and we get back to class with a few minutes to spare.
I was not happy, I didnt go back to Mcdonalds for a long time after that

KFC is good but it costs too much especially for the size of the pieces. Popeye's is great because of the cajun flavor but is also expensive. Mrs Winners is cheap and is real southern fried chicken.

I've never been to a Mrs. Winners and the only Popeye's I know of near me in Atlanta is at an unsavory location.
KFC > Church's.
Mrs. Winners is on the other side of town--if I get a hankerin' for some fast food, should I make the trip? I usually go to a burrito joint around the corner from my house when I want something fast and easy, but if Mrs. Winner's is THAT good, I gots to get me some.

Only problem is that I don't think they have corn, but I don't get sides when I go. But ya, the Winner's breasts are at least 1.5x bigger than the KFC ones and considerably less expensive. I don't know if it is worth a trip to the other side of town though, but if you are hungry and out that way I would give it a shot.
