Guys I cant find one thing out about lifesteal. Whats the life it steals? (% of life/damage/fixed amount?) If so will it have a different effect if used with a slow 2Hweapon than being used by a fast 1H weapon?
thx

Since most of the post in the forum are discussing wheter crusader or lifesteal is better, I'll be posting what I know about lifesteal;
1. Lifesteal is a high-end enchant, requires skill 300, the recipe is pretty hard to get, the reagents are expensive (thinking of 100g an enchant).
2. Lifesteal is enchanted and adds a chance on hit effect to the weapon (just like crusader, fiery weapon, unholy weapon, etc.)
3. When lifesteal procs it instantaneously deals 30 shadow damage (I have no idea if this can be resisted or something, I also heard from certain people saying it's a DoT, but they might be thinking it's the same as Skullforge Reaver's proc, I'll add that when I get the enchants myself) and it heals the "caster" for the amount of life stolen.
4. I heard al lot of different proc rates for it. Most vary between 20-25%, but I also heard numbers like 10 and 40. I'm not sure if it's affected by the speed of the weapon. I'll also be testing this when I get the enchant myself (gonna get it on main and off hand)
5. Now IMO (and there is a lot of discussion going on about it), all melee classes that get 2 AP per strenght should get crusader (100 str --> 200 Ap --> 1337 damage), while rogues should dual wield lifesteal (2 weapons is more procs, I believe crusader doesn't stack, but lifesteal doesn't have an affect so it does the full effect everytime it procs, and ofcourse lifesteal (whit it's high proc rate) will add a serious amount of damage when using speed increasing stuff, like Slice and Dice for rogues.
This is what I know about the enchant lifesteal, you'll be hearing more about it when I get it myself :D

I'd go duel Crusader, personally. But that's a bit on the pricy side :) Only do it when you KNOW you've found your weapons.

lol life steal sux for warriors, they are meant to do damage, not heal for to little amounts, and crusador does that damage xD

Cut, explain what a Fury warrior does and then think of why Lifestealing is perhaps as or more useful than Crusader.

I would go for dual wield crusader for fury warrior, since they get 200 AP when it procs (100 str = 200 AP). Is a lot more damage then the 100 AP rogues get from the 100 str boost. Lifestealing is also very expensive, it depends on the prices for the essences and the orbs on the server if either crusader or lifesteal is more expensive. Dunno how it is on daggerspine though

Lifesteal is some kind of proc per minute or something like that. So it will proc more often on a slow weapon...
I cant remember where I read it but there was alot of peple agreing on it. Some guy had monitored it with two weapons for a given period of time, and he had about the same amount of procs on the both weapons.
But of course since Blizzard dont wanna tell anyone how it really works, he could have just made it up :P
I doubt he has though...

I heard Lifestealer was a Proc%, actually, meaning fast weapons will proc more times per minute. Crusader is definately ppm, however.

Nobody is sure if lifesteal is based on a percentage or on a ppm rate
