I need sleep dammit! These late nights are going to be the death of me, but I am a MVP whore. 22 and counting and nothing to roll on in sight. I guess I have a 16% chance of SS droping on Wednesday, then I have to hope and pray that MVB lets people roll on it instead of it being loot assigned (unless it is assigned to me of course :p ). Either way, I wanted to take a nap yesterday and didn't get a chance, so I was tired as hell going into BWL. Then I suckered myself into staying for Ony.

Grats to HotC on killing Firemaw and Broodlord. It is very strange to me how we can have some much trouble one day, and come back and totally wtf own bosses. The way Broodlord went down, you would think that we have been killing him for ages. Same with Firemaw, the 2nd attempt was pretty much flawless and it was our first kill. Grats to the winners of the phat loot!

What puzzles me and probably everyone else is why we have so much trouble on the trash pulls. We must be doing something fundamentally wrong because the trash is harder than the bosses. Speaking of trash, when are those bastadages gonna start dropping more BoEs? After 2 in our first 2 pulls, we have gotten squat since.

We go after Ebonroc tonight. It will be nice to be a part of yet another first boss kill. Like everything else, sounds like this fight is gonna come down to how the tanks and healers peform. As we go the raid goes, so pray that we perform as wonderfully as usual.

Who won the Ony head last night? I am curious because Cana has blue balls over it because he gets so so close to winning it but it is always taken away at the last second. That and Fel is trying to out point me, and since he had 18 points going into Ony, I wanna know how he lost unless he forgot to roll.

Grats to Evelynn on her first Ony kill. That fight is alot harder than we make it look. Hopefully you can be a part of many more to come.

Time for some RL crap. Saturday night was my best friend's birthday part. We all went to her parents house and proceeded to get totally wasted. So when it was time to go to sleep, I passed out in her bed. Not long there after, I wake up standing in front of her closet peeing into her daughter's toy box. What seemed like 2 minutes later, another guy who had passed out in the room, tried to pee in the other closet but I luckily diverted him to the bathroom, at which time he passed out while at the toilet. At roughly the same time, her sister was in her bed doing what? peeing. There must have been something in the birthday cake because that was one weird freaking experience.

What made it worse, was going back yesterday afternoon to clean up the toy box. Never in my life do I want to do that again. Stuff animals totally soaked, toys laying in a layer of yellowish fluid. On top of that, the toy box was rimmed making it hard as hell to drain liquid out of it.

Enough for now, maybe some more later. It is time to get some work done.

I announced our owning Broodlord last night on the Dalaran forums...I hope that was ok. I was wondering if an officer should have done that, but I was so excited to announce it...and to let certain folks know of our progress (spiteful cattiness FTW)...

The late nights are killing me. 4 hours of sleep are not enough, even for me. I start a new session of school tomorrow night and I am dreading it.

Uh...nice story about the toybox tinklage, Telva...LOL <snort> glad you're feeling better now!

Leri, did you announce Broodlord or Firemaw?

MVB
Jan 30, 2006, @ 02:37 PM
Aye, that was our 2nd Broodlord kill. Firemaw was last night's 1st.

I hope someone made the Hogger Down post, don't think too many people could do that.

Because I don't keep up with such things, who on our server has taken down Firemaw and who has taken down Ebonroc?

And grats to Nief on the head, must have been one helluva roll.

Also thanks to Holyban for keeping up with all that crap. He does a grand job with the points and the tracking of the loot for each raid. Top notch quality ftw!

Trash pulls are tricky, these are not MC Trash.

A. The aggro range is a lot higher.
B. Goblin Respawns, if the right mobs are not killed fast enough, a full set of Gobs will pop on the raid.
C. Splitting is doable, See A.
D. IDK if I'll be able to be on for tonight's events :(

Firemaw was flawlessly excecuted, albit some deaths, but acceptable.

Grats to all of you who participated.

I have no clue what you guys are talking about and it makes me jealous!

Guilds on Alliance side that have taken down Firemaw and Ebonroc =
Moment of Silence
Windriders
Obscured Reasoning
Alliance in Defiance

Alliance guilds other than those who have taken down Firemaw only:
Heroes of the Command

Hord guilds to do so:
Doom only, IIRC

Waib...I saw you corrected me on the forums. I should have realized that y'all would have had it on the ball better than me. But I was so excited. And I wanted certain people to REALLY know that they suxxorz. <snortle>

Gren - I had announced Firemawn00b, since that's the n00btard we wtfpwned last night.

Telva - The guilds who are past Firemaw: Windriders, Obscured Reasoning, Moment of Silence, Alliance in Defiance. And us. We're in the top 5 of the server, which is nothing to sniff at. Not even Might and Magic, Phoenix Royal Guard, Cortex (whatever happened to them?), Vernal Equinox, Darkmoon, etc. have gotten to where we are. I think the next guys ahead of us are Alliance in Defiance - they're on Flamegor.

Thibz - you are SO right, the "trash" in BWL is anything but. I think we got hurt more by the trash than by the boss himself! Though I died (that was through sheer bad luck) during the downing of Firemaw, I took more deaths and more damage on the trash pulls. We gotta do something about those pesky goblins.

I won't be up for another run at BWL tonight due to work & school tomorrow, so I'm sorry that my sechsay dps will not be available. I love this guild very much, and if it wasn't for the great people in it, I wouldn't have stayed as long as I did last night...today, I pay. <laugh>

Hatchet more BWL stuff. Btw I hope you participated in the Rag try last night. I mean if you are going to quit PvPing soon, you better learn how to PvE. Cuz we all know that after Waib and I laid the smack down on you Saturday morning, you need to do something different. Our first match against ya'll was quite the entertainment. I imagine you don't have to work so hard against PuGs very often. Plus in my first 7 killing blows I believe you were 5 of them. Alas that was the only PvP I did over the weekend, and I doubt I will have time to do it today, and I hope to not play the game at all on Tuesday.

BWL Stuff--Duh. :P

No, I wasn't present for the Rag try. I haven't farmed enough for FR gear. (85 unbuffed, FTL). I'll be attending SFUs second MC run more in the near future. I'm just a backup for the main run. I missed Hakkar and I'll miss Rags, but I made sure to be there for our first Onyxia kill (thank god Blizzard made getting to her short and sweet--completing that quest chain just about killed me. LFG LBRS 5-man PST...crickets...tumbleweed...).

You're welcome for the KBs, but I got the last laugh. :nyah:

And yes, I know how to tank. And yes, I will taking a long vacation from WSG and AB if I ever hit 13--I'm exalted with those factions, so there's no point. My real life friend finally returned to the game (I started grinding honor while he was away so I could save content to do with him--I bought the game so we could "hang out" since he moved away).

I also broke-down and bought a new computer over the weekend, so, tanking for 40-man raids and venturing into Alterac Valley are now viable options.

(OMIGOD, the game is so pretty when all the video options are turned up, y'all!)

Edited, y'all.

Fun fact: I didn't start ending my sentences with "y'all" until I started watching Paula Deen's show on Food Network on a regular basis. She is totally southern fried and I can't get enough.

Come on down to Atlanta and I'll fix you up some of Paula's Georgia Cracker Salad--it's real peachy.

It is going to be sad when you no longer PvP, I won't have anyone to reach out and hug. But I think I may be getting over the PvP thrill, I only have fun when I am in there with guildies but we don't have time with all the farming we have to do. I made my rank and now I only need to keep sergeant for the discount.

Btw, on a separate note, the people who farm Winterfall Firewater don't charge enough. It took me the most part of Friday, Saturday, and Sunday morning to get 10 of them (it might have been 15). I get to rinse and repeat this again for this week coming up.

MVB
Jan 30, 2006, @ 04:35 PM
It would probably be more productive to farm 2 living essences off un'goro tar elementals and use the AH proceeds to buy 10 firewater.

Oh, I'll PvP--just not in those Battlegrounds for a while. (Jaina Proudmoore and Staghelm the Archdrood--i'm comin' for ya!)

Mike, you are probably right except, this weekend there were a ton of living essences on the AH, and didn't think the one(s) I have would sell. Plus those little cute and cuddly furblogs drop alot of cash and runecloth which can then be sold. I might have to go back to farming thorium for a living and sell it at the AH; especially since non of the hunters needed arrows. Well one did but he promised to replinish my supply.

Im probably stop pvp after tomorrow :( The last few weeks have been painfully boring in the pvp scene. Long wait times, short games, bad PUG's ect... So tomorrow I'll hit rank 8 and then call it quits, though I'll most likey still que once in a while. Casual pee vee pee is gud :)

Lower bracket PvP is gooder! Y'all better make alts to run around Warsong Gulch w/ Poindexter in the 20-29 bracket!

I have a level 5 Priest, of course I will never level him up higher. I have a 33 mage I could dedicated to PvP if you are willing to go that high, because my rogue has to level to 40 to start collecting good herb.

Even if you don't have a toon to camp the bracket with, we can at least go to The Deadmines together. ;)

Goonies r good enuff 4 me.

Oh I will twink you through the deadmines any day. Took Jonrasomething through them last week along with curlock. I love that place to death, unlike some people I know, I don't die down there either.
