1/25 Wednesday No More PvP for me!

Hatchet if that doesn't get your attention I don't know what will! I made Knight yesterday after having a standing of 370 and ~28K Honor last week. How I ranked with those crappy stats I have no idea, but I did. So now everyone will HEAL SIR TELVA! Let me tell you, making Knight is such a tease! You finally get to go into the sacred room and what can you buy? Potions! Yes potions! No, I can't buy armor or weapons, I can buy freaking potions. Sure they are cheap but they don't even work as well as Major pots. Then on top of that you get to see all the lovely stuff you can buy later with rank. Some of the stuff is drooling good, but will never be obtained =/ Anyway I celebrated by trying to queue with Waib, but Blizzard screwed us over and my queue didn't reset. So I along with an Alliance PuG destroyed some horde. Unfortunately before Ony HotC tried to queue and we meet up against Hatchet's team sans Hatchet (chicken!) and got utterly destroyed when 1/3 of the group (non-HotC) decided to leave for WSG at the start. We could never recover from that, oh well.

Grats to Gadi on leading a successful Ony kill. No offense to Mike, but it was the smoothest kill I have been on in a while. Maybe we just got lucky with the whelps, but it was almost too easy. Even the deep breath got no where near me and I ended up wasting a mana pot. Oh and Grats to Hatchet and Co. for finally taking the b%&^h down. Btw, ya gotta feel bad for Cana (well almost), 5 weeks in a row he has had great rolls on Ony's head only to lose. Last night he rolls a 100 but unfortunately didn't have the MVPs to compete. Keep saving up and one day it will be yours.

So I got my RAM yesterday, and because I am lazy, I just threw it in with my other RAM going against Lards advice. 3 GB of memory does wonders for Lag. I had very little CTraid lag last night, and didn't notice any other outside of that not including the occassional IF hiccup. Let's hope for some smooth sailing from here on out, and that the CT people fix their problems soon.

Tonight is BWL night. I can't wait! The first 3 fights are so fun, but remember we need to take them one at a time. I think last week people were overlooking the Razorgore fight, and we stumbled on him. He is the 2nd hardest boss we will fight, so let's not take him lightly. Same with Vael, he has only gone down once, so let's remember to bring our best!

I wasn't chicken, I was in Onyxia's Lair! I didn't want to miss another guild first thanks to PvP!

And yes, getting the key to the officer's quarters is a total tease, but those pots come in handy when you kill a warlock but are about die from all the DoTs.

And ya, the pots will come in handy, assuming I buy some. Heck they are dirt cheap compared to pots on the AH. It's just one of those things, at corporal through Master Seargent you get items that are wearable and could actually be used. Then you get to Knight, and you pretty much get nothing. Seems that the pots probably should come earlier in the ranking. Geez if I get 3 more ranks I get a full suit of armor (I think), maybe I will strive for that. Just what I need, another set of armor!

Btw, are the mounts you can by epix or just your normal slow mounts?

Epics. I originally got all caught up in the honor system for the cheap mount.

And yeah, some of the rewards are very lame. How about a belt to wear instead of cheap pots? Or an assortment of blue weapons to buy in addition to tabards?

Thanks for the "grats." I would've kicked myself if I'd missed the first kill because I was in PvPland. Last night was the first night I'd even seen her take flight! RPGs have come a long way since Zelda!

I didn't look hard, but don't you have to obtain Uber rank for the cheap mount? Or is it actually obtainable with moderate work? This might be the way for me to get the ram and pussy cat I have wanted.

Rank 11 nets you the cheap mount. I started devoting more time to PvP around rank 10. It's doable, for sure, but you'd have to cut back on your raiding. I think I still attended MC runs once or twice a week and found the time to get Ony-keyed.

It took 3 weeks to go from 10 to 11 at that rate. I've always counted on Warsong Gulch holidays to hit the next rank and slacked during the other weeks.

I think I played FF3 for a night or two. I think this came out about the same time video stores started renting games. I think a friend of mine rented it and we played it over a weekend, but he didn't like it because he wasn't into RPGs.

I guess it is aptly named because you have will power buddy to keep holding on to that! Anyway, I want to thank those who Blitz'd him with me, Waib, Zeph, Cammy, Eve, Nief, and Andista. The run wasn't a total waste because Andista picked up a black diamond for a libram. Btw, if anyone questions that this is a quick and painless run, it took us less than 40 minutes from zone in to zone out to complete this. So please think of me the next time I come asking for help.

I sort of enjoy WSG but can do with out it. I really had fun last weekend when we were doing the late night runs and it was 90% guild and we actually made Hatchet's team work a little bit. But most of the time, it ends up being uber-experienced team against alliance-noobs (myself included) and it just isn't fun.

I found fishing more fun than I expected.
It has some nice uses, and is complementary to the war effort (ship is sailing soon on that though)

I'm sure the horde would like help with the baked salmon, I have been putting that and tin on the neutral AH at about cost.

I love me some fishing! Leridyn is 300 fishing (though she has the big iron fishing pole +20 and whatever baubles and lures I can find), and Eira just finished her artisan quest to get to 300...she's still at 225, but I'm hoping to find time over the next week to get her a bit higher.

Best places I like to fish? Feathermoon and Moonglade - winter squid, stonescale eels and nightfin snappah's. I'm 300 cooking too...so it makes the goodest food for my rogue (squid) and priestie (nightfin).

Try as I might, I cannot seem to give away my other fish, not even to other hunters who might need them for their pets. Bah.
