First off, I am going to call out the alliance for being pussies. Yes it's a harsh word, but it is the truth. Last night in my only chance to PvP, I get stuck in WSG. Let me first say I hate WSG with a passion, but after last night, I think I could like it, if HotC got some sort of team together with a defined strategy. Anyway, I zone in and low and behold we are going up against Hatchet's band of ganksters. And guess what, my team basically gave up from the start. I realize we are just a freaking PuG going up against a well-oiled machine, but it's like they look at the scoreboard, see all those Generals and say oh well its over. After Iggi capped the first flag, half my team quit. It was only till it was almost over that me and another warrior got it together and started actually killing folks and that turnout ended up being very very sucky!

Anyway, I have to give Hatchet his due, he made me look foolish. Well he and his friends did. The only 2 times I saw him, he and his warlock and mage friend tore me a new one. Of course, I tried to save someone the first time, and what did that guy do? Turned a ran, yay team! Anyway, next time I hope we meet in AB or AV where I feel somewhat more comfortable.

I would like to apologize to Nief and Aro for not doing Gnomer last night. I really wanted to do it, but when Mike and Lard come calling for farm runs it's hard to turn down. We will reschedule again, maybe Thursday? either before or after we run Waib through DM:N to try and get him a Libram of Prot or two. How long do you think it is going to take with 2 60's leading the way? I haven't been to Gnomer is so long, I have no idea.

Speaking of that Core farming, it was test the n00b tank night and so I got to MT and Fel OT'd. I think we did quite well. I lost a giant once and I am not sure why, but I will consider that a freak accident. Core hounds and despair suck. That one hound would not let me gain control, 2 sunders, and then I would start running around like a chicken, stop gain control, chicket again. Bah I say! Anyway, a shout out goes to Adeste for doing well on his first core tanking experience, but nothing will top Eve tanking last night!

Also, something else I learned, slam is your friend if you are a tank in the core. Well if you have a 2H equipped anyway. With my slow OEB, slam takes roughly the same length of time as a normal swing but adds damage and won't be interrupted if the MT/OT has control, sooo rather than wait around the big execute, I will now use slam throughout the core and see if it affects my DPS numbers.

Tonight is Raz/Vael night! One thing I would like to caution everyone about is that we have only downed Raz once! Let's not get too confident about him and put all our thoughts toward Vael. Remember it took us 7 attempts last week, lets try and cut that down, but don't expect him to go down on the first try.

I am hoping that my lag issues are solved. I wiped my addons folder and reinstalled CT and Equipmanager last night. I went to WSG with zero lag even when the raid group was being added to. During MC I suffered a little big of lag during raid additions but nothing like previous nights. Even when I died and ran back from TP, I didn't have the jumpiness that had been occuring. So hopefully either Blizzard got their heads out of their asses or I solved my problems. Tonight will be the true test and hopefully I pass.

OMG because of Downing Razorgore and going after Vael I have had little sleep from all the excitement. I expect I will get little sleep because I'm looking forward to killing Razorgore and possilbly Vael.

Mages have a simple job in Razor, gank the mages as they come out of the corners and wand Razor to death. Vael is a much more difficult task. With 5 tanks to BA and mana user BA every 15 secs we have a problem of dimishing DPS. So to kill him I figure we need to get him him done to 22% on the first tank BA, 15% second, 9% third,4% fourth and the last tank has too survive for the final 4%. I'm wondering if we should sacrifice a rouge for a tank slot?

Well we will soon find out and I hope that Blizz get it stuff together and the DC's and Lag are none existant tonight, I can hope;)

I feel your pain, Telva--we used to be in your shoes and got tired of all the groaning at the start of matches when we faced set, high-ranking Alliance teams way back in October. We started adding each other to our buddylists, created a chat channel and started making a crybaby-free group. Now we've all ranked up together and had great fun doing it--especially when we got the gear that allowed us to compete w/ the groups we used to fear.

Gear + lots of experience playing together = no losses when facing PuGs.

Be that as it may, when we run into a group that has a large percentage of HotC members, it's always a good fight. I felt bad when I checked the scoreboard and saw your team's numbers dwindle--you didn't even have a full group at the outset. Try running w/ Grenwich more--that little bugger makes me cry!

P.S. I love the new queue system--running something other than Arathi Basin all the time is a nice change...even if you hate WSG, you gotta admit it's a little more fast paced. (I'm always stuck defending a node in AB that nobody tries to assault. /cry). That is, as long as there aren't any stalemates where neither team can capture the flag--I hate it when that happens.

I will try if the bugger was ever on while we are forming up. Weekends are better for us as a whole to get together and PvP. Hopefully Saturday we can actually get together and play some.

My goal in PvP is to make it to Knight and such. I don't necessarily want to go higher because that will take more dedication and I want to try and level my rogue and I have been neglecting her. Heck with all her rested XP I should be able to hit 2-3 levels in an afternoon easy.

That's how it starts! Slowly it happens, then next thing you know, you're a General! Or Commander, or whatever the equivalent is for the Alliance!

I started playing WoW at the end of May and was level 20 or so when WSG came out. I met Foreman and Iggi in the 30s bracket and PvPed with them occasionally until level 51. Between Darthbunny and the Epic geared Alliance 60s (it was still a 51-60 bracket), I decided to quit PvPing until I hit 60. I played just enough to keep my PvP discount with the vendors (rank 3?).

Once I hit 60, I was surprised at how quickly the lower ranks came. Once I found a group of cool peeps to play with regularly, I decided to see how it high up I could get. Originally, all I wanted was the blue armor set. The Honor system didn't become a second job (where every minute I log in is devoted to PvPing) until I tried to move past rank 11.

You guys could easily get complete PvP armor sets if you devote 4 hours of pvping 2-3 days a week. I promise!

4 hours 2-3 days a week tranlates into 2-3 extra days of raiding =/ So that means 5-6 nights a week my time is spoken for. I know you are just encouraging us, but I am not sure I want to devout that much time to this especially if we can't get a corp group to commit to doing it. So for the time being, I will just take it easy and get the first few pieces of blue armor I can. Then again, what does the armor do for me when I am still a tank and not a platerogue? I just want the title so I can tell Waib to "HEAL SIR TELVA!"

I'm encouraging you guys for selfish reasons--it's fun for me to see yall in there. Otherwise, it's just wave after wave of forgettable Alliance teams that get 5-0'd all night.

Except, of course, for our main rivals, Barath and Co.

Woot! I just found out that my new keyboard has arrived at my house. 18 new unused buttons made solely for senseless macros!

Yay! now I will make some of those annoying macros for pvp and one of those PEW PEW PEW macros and the like! I can't wait!

Is it one of them WoW zBoards? Fancy!

The only macro I use for PvP is /hi. Or /hug or if it's Waibanez, /fart.

And I use the mouse to activate my abilities instead of the keyboard.

And I don't have any mods installed.

And I put noobsauce on my tacos.
