First let me say, Happy Birthday to Dr. King and thank you for helping bring the people of this country together.
Now let me say to hell with all of you who get today off!
I am very disappointed in myself for the Vael attempts last night. Actually I don't think I did too bad but my computer sure wasn't cooperating. I was pretty much doing fine until I got moved up in the tank order. Then the following sequence of events happened...
1. Fight starts, everything going well, Gadi gets BA/dies, Mike takes over well, fight some more, Mike gets BA, Telva moves up, screen freeze (mouse still worked), Mike dies, Telva frozen acting like he was a statue, Telva unfreezes, most of the raid is dead, Telva feels like an ass.
2. Repeat attempt 1 events to wear Mike takes over, during ensuing fight, screen freezes, Zeph on TS tells me Mike has BA, I say well f**k time for another ass chewing, screen unfreezes just after Mike dies, Vael comes back to me but I couldn't get him turned far enough death.
3. I get to start off on Vael, I get 3 sunders in, raid starts DPS, my screen goes all red, all I can see is me and Vael, no writing, no BA calls, no nothing; I could still function because I could see myself sundering+HS so I continued, the only way I knew I had BA was that I saw MVB come walking by (miracle), so I moved to my left a little and died, computer restart, logged back on, turned down the resolution on the game.
4. Final attempt and did I make it count! (sarcasm off) ... I went in and before I could get the second sunder off Vael turned (omg wtf), so I just kept sundering+HS to get him back, luckily he turned back but not after he had gotten out of position, I repositioned him a little, but alas I think I screwed up everyone's placement, another wipe when transition failed. I probably backed up a little causing the turn, so yay for me on a great night!
Now if anyone has any ideas on how to fix my screen lockups, I am more than willing to listen.

I get the screen lockups in WoW since the patch once in a while. I believe it is a DirectX bug. In the past I had disabled DirectX but there are drawbacks to that as well, namely AOE aiming 'targets' are invisible and other similar effects. When it happens now I hit the minimize button or alt-tab then switch back in and it's fixed.
If you have a laggy connection, you have no business also loading down your comp with voice chat IMO. Also, research the graphics options for BWL bigtime. Even in Razorgore I have a fun 10s break while all the orcs are streaming in the first time.

I agree with you which is why I turned everything off after the 2nd lag out. I had never had this problem before with TS so I didn't think it was a problem. However, this didn't fix the problem, and then I got the big red screen and that is when I decided to change my graphics settings which seemed to help.
Btw Gren, my graphics card is only a year old and I am not in the mood to pay another $200-300 to upgrade it :)

Live and Learn, Tel. I'd say twoardthe end, you tanks were learning how to switch out. Now, if only Vael wouldn;t flamebreathe the bunched healers, hmm...

Hrmm....it would probably be a good idea to update my video drivers. The last time I did this was probably back in say....April! Man I am a n00b sometimes.

The other reason why MLK day sucks.....most of you don't have to work or go to school therefore this board is dead. Its probably a good thing though because now I should be able to concentrate on work.
Glad to see Zoe is trolling around, wish he would post more though. Grats to the RS/Harbringers Alliance for taking down Domo last night in their first night of attemps.

I lurk in the shadows :)
Not a holiday for me up here in Canada, so it's business as usual. That is, trolling forums and pretending to work while they pretend to pay me. Did you hear about my "encounter" with Garr on Saturday?
Last night was awesome; my second time fighting Ragnaros (thanks HotC!) and the first time for just about everybody else. 65% or so when the Sons came out. Pretty good start; it was getting late and we were tired from a few Domo attempts. Our second-last Domo attempt was going so well, we were on the third-last add when the nearby Annihilators respawned, but the next shot went like clockwork. We're not going to try Rags again tonight; Harbs have something planned already. An extra full clear and the 20-25 epics that nets us before we're back certainly won't hurt anyways. And it'll give me a chance to pass on all of MVB's great advice.

Yes, I read your story about Garr, rather funny, but I bet it made everyone in the raid happy. It reminds me of the time MVB accidentally body pulled him, then again you did it on purpose, wtf were you thinking?
My great advice for Rags, DPS, DPS, and some more DPS and when you are done DPSing, do some tanking on the sons and get your ass back to DPSing.

It might have pissed a few people off, but mostly lightened the mood I think. We wiped on Garr again after that because some adds broke loose, no idea how that happened. The two wipes delayed us just enough that we had to reclear mobs in the cave before Shazz.
I've offered a Greater Fire Protection Potion to everybody I killed with that stunt, and a few flasks to the raid on my tab.
My only regret was that I didn't FRAPS it, but it wasn't really premeditated at all!

I agree, how are you supposed to go to the parade down on Auburn Avenue?
But hey at least most places used to let you leave early the weekend of Freaknic....does freaknic even take place anymore?

No. Not in Atlanta, anyways.
How am I supposed to rock down to Electric Avenue would be a better question. Work is getting in the way of all the fun I deserve to have!!

So T, did the updated drivers solve your problem? I hope it did :)
I didnt mean for u to spend the money u were talking about. When I built my computer in July I bought a $60 radeon 9300 with 128 ram so I 'm far too cheap to spend the $200 or more and I would never advise to spend that amount of cash for a card.
Anyways I hope the game runs like a dream for ya:)

Remove all your mods, reinstall CT_core and CT_raid new versions. Helps alot.

Now that I will will do. I am betting a fresh install of the mods is probably the key thing because I have zero problems when I am not in a raid.
My friend had zero lag/vid freezes yesterday and she played most of the afternoon. I d/l'd new video drivers and the latest directx and it was better, but when Cammy and I hit Inced while we were waiting for MVB to reappear it started jumping around (no TS or AIM on either). Funny thing was, once we hit the core everrything was fine.
