I dunno much about Homeworld but if its a router problem, try disabling the SPI Firewall under the WAN settings. I've heard problems about Netgear routers having this kind of problems and this usually fixes it.

If its a software problem I dunno anything about HW2. Better ask a technical forum specifically aimed at Homeworld 2 problems if my suggestion doesnt fix it.

Which netgear router do you have delta i have a dg836 i think thats it some thing very like that, is it wired or 802.11?

How have you set it up?

Have you looked at the read me file from homeworld 2?

What other services do you run on your comp?

Do you have a software firewall on comp?

How on earth are you bypassing your router, do you mean that you are allowing all udp/tcp packet tranfers? If you are i hope you have some seriously good av on your comp.

What av are you using?

Can you download this and save the log and then post it here Delta?

The program is called hijack this.

My msn is on here somewhere look it up and give me a shout if you think i can be of help.

I am not the sage of all knowlage but I'll do my best for you.

Go to your browser type in 192.168.8.1 (usual router gateway) in the address bar. Then you should see the WAN settings.
