Oh ya we totally WTF OWNED Razorgore last night! Was it easy? Oh hell no! Someone said we wiped 6 times before the killing blow and that sounds about right. 4 wipes where we didn't kill all the eggs and 2 wipes in phase 2.
Let me just say, that has to be the funnest fight in this game to date. When we first started trying Raz way back in November, it was a chaotic fight that we made even more chaotic by trying to kite everything; and that was my biggest complaint about it. Even though we were trying to "control" the chaos by kiting things, once everyone got their trains going and because of the way the legos, mages, and dragonkin spawn and run, it was sometimes hard to tell what mobs were being kited and by whom so we had more chaos. Luckily, we changed our strategy and went to the corner strategy.
Did I mention we killed Razorgore?
What is the corner strategy? Put two groups in each corner and totally own anything and everything that comes into your corner. As a tank this strategy made me happy in the pants because it meant I got to tank multiple mobs while everyone else got to throw DPS around like madmen. This gives everyone a definite task and restores some sort of order to the mass chaos.

As a tank what did I learn? First tank as many legos as possible. This sounds simple right? Well it is, but it is confusing because the legos come out of 2 rooms and come out running in every direction. It isn't hard to gain aggro, nor really keeping aggro once you establish it. The confusing part comes when there are 2 mages, 3 dragonkin, Raz, your legos, and 2 groups of toons in your corner and you are trying to find the next lego to tank. The hardest decision you have to make? At some point you get too many legos on you. By themselves the legos aren't bad, it comes when you have 3 or 4 on you and they all decide to cleave you, then it hurts. So rather than stand their tab targeting + sunder, you must give up and start kiting. It took me a couple of before I went this route but once the legos started piling up I went this route and I started to live longer, plus I was able to pick up the stray legos/dragonkin in the middle so they could join in our game of follow the leader.

Phase 2? Well as in most fights, it comes down to keep MVB/Gadi alive. Since Raz likes to conflag, I can't help keep them alive directly, and my bow doesn't quite do the same DPS of say Thibz, I was relegated to bandage duty! Yes, my sole goal was to keep Holyban alive. Sorry I was a little greedy in my bandage role but at that point I decided the longer our healers were up the better chance we had to survive. However, it was hard getting Holy (some other healer) to cooperate with me because everytime I went to bandage him, a heal came his way. I was able to get 2 bandages in.

So next is Vael and I think he is going to be even funner than Raz. Something about fire breathing dragons makes me happy in the pants. Vael isn't as big as Ony, but Vael looks cooler to me.

Hopefully we won't be doing any PvP tonight because I would like us to get together and try Vael again, and again, and again. Will MVB even be around? If not maybe we could impress him by taking Vael down for the first time while he isn't in town :)
