Eranikus in his true form appeared and raised hell, He had lackys too, so Horde and Alliance came together and fought them off, then we got to eranikus, and that was one hell of a laggy fight XD then as we done event...fuckers started AoEing each other...and I crash -_-
I dunno if this has ANY relation to AQ...but it seems relevent, and how it triggered is random too, what's ur thoughts on this, again, I dunno a lot, so if ya lemme know the whole reason of this event, I'd be glad to hear =)

In short yes it is part of the Scepter part of AQ quest as explained below from a related thread
You have to forge the septer, which requires..
1. Killing Broodlord in BWL
2. Alot of farming to get BoN faction up to neutral from hated.
3. Doing the merrories quest (above)
4. Then you have to gather 8 shards of the orrignal septer
5. After this its bang that gong time and hope for the best..
(Step 4)
The shards are hard :)
1st, we (the server alliance) got the first euro one off a huge ass demon in duskwood, that took like 120+ ppl to kill.
2-4 are off the spawns near the dragons spawn points, these are used to summon..
5th, eranikus (the dude in ST) who has one too. -grinding for these.
6h off a chain involving azurgos and Dr Wevil! (possibly the real king of stormwind). -currently where we are at.
7th .. no one knows yet..
8th of the bronze dragon.
The gates wont open with out a septer, the war effort maybe completed but you need the septer otherwise they wont open.
Edit: Edited my first post to have LR's site to the right address (noob its .org, not .com). You can check his progress on there.

Yar what he said, we should be the first euro server to get a completed septer (we lack the last red shard for which you have to do BWL in 5 hours), but alas the server is being taken down for 24 hours and we are likly to get passed.
When the dude spawned, and everyone flooded into Moonglade, we ninja'ed Emerris, and got him down to 73% before he drained the MTs hp for 4k a tick. Then the fooks crashed the server and he despawned :(
On the happy side we took down azurgos for the first time on sunday :)

Does anyone have a link to info about all this that isn't really brief and confusing?
(Also, um, who are Emerris and Azurgos? Oh and you guys, it's scepter, not septer. ;))

Dunno about Emerris, but I know Azugeros is a big, bad, blue dragon that spawns in southers Azshara, can be done with 40-man, is one of the hardest outdoor raid bosses if I recall correctly.

Azugeros is a big Frost based dragon in Azshara. He is not a hard fight but he definitely a endurance fight. The average battle with him from the alliance viewpoint takes 25 minutes but since the Horde have shammies they might have some totem that counter his teleport and frost weakness spells. It the only out door fight that I know of that you can die and run back to your corpse and continue the fight like nothing happened except dying doesn't dispell his frost weakness spell.

Hes not very hard, and it doesnt take long, providing you are not getting griefed by the other faction.
There are few 'uber' bosses that spawn arround the world (every 2-5 days) that drop epics and are fairly hard to do (espically on a pvp server).
Azurgos - Blue frost dragon (azshara)
kassak - demon (blasted lands)
Both increadably easy for a decent equiped group.
then the 4 green dragons, which spawn in hinterlands, duskwood, ashenvale, and feralas are ysondre, tearer, emeris and lethon.
ysondre, tearer are both said to be easy, emeris fairly hard, but lethon is ment to be the hardest thing in the game at the moment.
Having only ever seen and tryed emeris, i cant say, but here is what he does:
Hits the tank for 800-1k damage as a normal attack
Poision breath that stacks up and does ~500/3seconds per time (so it goes higher and higher)
Sends out a cloud that sleeps anyone near it and causes 1k damage.
At 75/50/25% he does a huge AoE attack that hits everyone, this causes 100% of your total health in damage over 5 seconds (so 3000 life it drains 3000 damage over 5 seconds)
And to top that off if you die you turn into a mushroom and start to AoE for 800+ damage :)
Things where going fine untill we got him to 75% then the Mt got a ass load of damage and died. (2800 damage per second). While rebuffing for our second atempt the server crashed and he despawned!
Eranikus is the leader of the green dragon flight, and its part of a quest chain to spawn him, as he holds a shard that makes the 'scepter of the shifting sands' which is used to unlock the new 40/20 man raid zone.

If just unlocking this raid zone is so freacking hard what will it be like inside oO!!!
and btw, here's a tactic to defeat Azuregos:
Abilities
- Teleports all players within 30 yards directly on top of him and completely resets aggro
- Casts Blizzard at random points
- Encases multiple targets in an Ice Block, damaging and immobilizing them for 5 seconds
- Has a huge range Cone-of-Cold-like spell that slows targets for 30 seconds
- Swipes multiple targets in melee range with his claw
- Tail whips anyone near his tail
- Reflects all magic and poison when his shield is up
Some strategies you can use
Strategy 1
- Get an open spot
- Main tank engages Azuregos, everyone gets within 30 yard range and starts attacking
- Offtank stays at 31-40 yard range
After a teleport, everyone runs to a pre-assigned spot within 30 yard range, and waits for the main tank or offtank to grab Azuregos, then DPSes again.
Strategy 2
- Get an open spot
- Main tank engages Azuregos, everyone stands at 35-40 yard range and starts attacking
- Offtank stays at 35-40 yard range and intercepts Azuregos when he heads towards the DPS group
- Offtank moves to main tank position, main tank moves to offtank position
Upside of this strategy is simple: nobody gets teleported. The downside is the DPS lost, you'll have less time to attack him before another teleport.
Reminders
- Use wand while Magic Reflection is up
- Run away and drink if you're low on mana
- Bandage up if needed, don't rely on heals
- Don't use any DOTs (Corruption, Fireball), they will draw aggro after a teleport and will kill people
- Don't use any HOTs (Renew, Rejuvenation), they will draw aggro after a teleport and will kill people
- Giants will spawn during the fight. Be prepared to take them down fast
