Today is a great day why? Extended maintenance and better yet one day until Razorgore bites the bullet. I am fully confident that if we can get 40 ppl in that room for 5 hours that stupid dragon will bite the dust. After reading that write up, I am now fully aware of what this fight is going to take and am mentally prepared. One thing I rarely notice is the length of these boss fights. Only Ony ever seems long but that is because of her 3 phases. However, learning that Raz will take about 15 minutes to down puts things into perspective. To me it helps knowing an actual figure rather than a "this is an endurance fight be prepared"; and in no way am I dissing MVB, it is just my personal preference.

I am really looking forward to the extended maintenance and small path though. The party interface bug is really really pissing me off. I went on a quick run to BRD (STILL NO MOTHERF'ING FOW!) and I couldn't see who was in my party. It was a fun quick run though, taught some ppl the shortcut, and it ended up being an enjoyable PuG. However, if this maintenance doesn't fix the random locking up, can't move, should I resist my PC, lag; Blizzard will probably start losing money. No way are people going to continue paying for this kind of crappy service.

AB last night was fun. We totally WTF OWNED a couple of groups (5-0 and 4-1). Of course we were totally WTF OWNED by Hatchet's group but most of that ownage was due to 3/4 of our group being PuG; the other reason is they are still better than us. I am not ashamed to admit when I/we are weaker, but give us time and the tides will start changing.

Also, this is for Grenwich, try PvPing with us sometime because I think you have been swayed by PuGs. I am not saying we rock or our strategies are totally different (though I would never want to leave a mage alone defending a flag) but one tends to have more fun playing with ppl they know. Btw, PvPing does not hamper the farming mats/gold process. Last night I was able to make about 20g, help finish an Emp run, get my aqual quintessence for Friday, get Gadi another arcane crystal (he doesn't know that yet), and still play 3 PvP matches all in about 4 hours.

I'm hoping the extended maintenance means that they're addressing the issue of lag, disconnects, queue times and character retrieval screens. On the Dalaran forums, there is much bitching to be had - and rightfully so. Dalaran isn't the only server this is happening to, many other servers are having the same problem.

I wish I could be there tomorrow night...but finals and final papers summon me.

Cool T, I'll join you guys for your next PVP run. I haven't had an actual win in a month and I would like to see a guild AB in action.
To be honest I'm in the process of making my Priest a sergeant and yesterday I was in a WSG 30-39 that lasted about hour and 15 minutes becuase we were playing hide and seek with the flags. It was a Blast and I loved hiding on the third floor of the horde building waiting for them to find us. Dropping sw:p on the unsuspecting horde below.
Also came into contact with my first known experiece with SFU, A lvl 36 shadow priest with a hard to pronounce name like noxanatra. I think she saw my HotC tag and was going out her way to take me down. She kept smacking me sw:p, I guess she didn't realize decursive takes that right off because my sw:p ate her up:) and each time we met it was a case of who's mana ran out first loses.

What are the strategies you tend to use in a guild AB? BS, MIll, and stable then defend?

As Ellora noted, we have a great way of attacking that we will be imploring in matches now. We are going to set up CT raid and I will be the MT. Whenever I see a familiar face, I will target and you will see in /rs KILL >> Hatchetface << NOW. We won't care about winning or losing, just seeing familiar faces melt.

The alterac valley battleground, Mole, has been known to have 24+ hour nonstop wars horde vs. alliance on some servers.

Haha! I remember seeing that! I LOLed. It happened to me in another match, though. Ain't karma a b!tch?

The battle for the mill was very laggy for us as well--especially during the first wave. Laggy, but frenetic and fun, too!

I definitely enjoy seeing familiar faces as the grind for rank 13 has become dull and job-like. I come here in peace! And to fuel friendly rivalries! And, therefore, spark renewed interest in PvPing for me as I make the final push for the last rank I'm aiming for. I will never grind the honor system again. EVER!

Hatchet, Wednesday is one of our raid nights, and I will never be involved in PvP on raid night (nor will I encourage others to do so). Monday, Tuesday, or Thursday would be better for us because PvE will always, always trump PvP. For instance, I almost missed out on our last victory last night because I went to BRD uber short notice because getting my FoW is way more important than my non-existant quest for GM.

the problem is the pugs. when bp gets in together, we are generally pretty coordinated and work with each other. lately our schedules seem to be all f'd up and we're all logging on at dif times and not grouping together. so pug hell ftl.

I've repeatedly dealt with certain horde ( /cough KALEBB /cough) spamming little emotes, and after it began to get less funny and more irritating, I decided to indulge myself in a little revenge. That was just a one-day macro to give horde a taste of their own medicine, I have already removed the emotes from the macro, and do not plan on adding them back in.

On a related note, I think it would be ideal if Blizzard completely disable cross-faction emotes in battlegrounds. A simple /bye emote can get under a player's skin, especially when it's all that fills your chat log :/

I apologize for any hard feelings my macro may have caused, I know it hurts to be on the reciving end, and I probably shouldn'tve stooped to that level...but meh, what can I say, I'm a bad person on top of a bad druid x.x

Queues hate me. I repeatedly wait for an hour without getting up, and then finally have to leave for drink/bio/parent aggro...and after a few minutes, when I get back, the queue has been and gone -_-

Kalebb is a guild-hopper that is universally reviled by most Hordies.

He's been kicked from my team's PvP raids when he's entered the battle when a member didn't port in or had to /afk or disconnected for his ranting in raid chat.

He's also been kicked from SFU's MC raids for his antics on our trash runs. That same night, he was /gkicked from VAMPIRUS, one of our allied guilds, when word got back to Lurid.

In addition to being a poor sport, he's a very, very bad druid.

As a side note, inform your fellow horde PvPers to stop wasting their hunter's marks on me.

When my hands start glowing, big red arrow over my head or not, they will attack me. But also be aware that when I rez (cursing the glowing hands the entire time), I will be at full mana once again, and continue my annoying job of giving back those hps you guys take :P

So next time, it might actually be better to leave my alive and oom. hitting things with a hammer ftw.

Don't fear Omaking, he might be a Field Marshall but he is a piss poor leader. The guy can't even get his raid group full in the 1+ you have before AB starts. Then all he does is yell rather than direct; or he kicks ppl out of raids for no reason, really good stuff.

Zepho, we will get you addicted (I am not there yet, but if I give PvP another week I am doomed). Plus we could use another l33t hunter to fill out the group because you guys are uber defenders. No I am not saying that you always have to defend because that sucks, but freeze traps on the flag ftw!

I'm not making a big deal out of PVP, I love it but it just get pretty boring like farming does too ;) I loved it on my rogue..and I love healing and all hehe, but theres only so much of it you can take..like I said I want more people to get their equipment for their ZG enchants, and that's what makes me a happy waib :D
