This is a rant. I just need to get it oun of my system.
Just played a 6-way FFA, that went for just shy of 3hrs on testing grounds. I start at the top right. I decimated the marine, in the right position, in the first 15mins or so, but I feel nice, so I let his servi break free. He sets up base in the centre of the map. I later, mosey on over to kill him. But I let him live. Again.
Next I attack the chaos guy who's holed up at the bottom. He's got mass psms and turrets up real good. I don't get past his LP. He then counter attacks into a group of preds and 4 termies. BT pops up. I kill it. Kill most of his army, chase. My army gets killed. Repeat x 2. The last push I stop dropping termies and dreads and let him get to my base. Meanwhile I've secreted some scouts into his base. Then I drop 3 dreads and two termies, 3 preds and two termies come through the front entrance. Bye, bye chaos. Nice try though.
Meanwhile the marine guy from before has to leave. Oh well. Then the marine at the top position is suddenly dead. And I think woohoo, now to move onto the Eldar. Then I see 14 FPs coming at me, none of them are shooting each other. OMG. They've teamed up. FUCKING COCK GOBBLERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Lots of shooting. Managed to kill most of the FPs (he tries jumping into my base, but it's full of missile turrets just to make sure those FPs don't kill me). AND managed to secret a scout into one of the eldar bases. I drop some dreads and termies. He's gone.
So, now it's down to a 1v1. This next eldar guy has turrets up the wahoo in the water - he's set up next to a relic. By this time I control the map. Every spawn area is mine. I have 100,000 (+400) req and about 80,000 power (+28 or so). A lot of attacking on my part with termies and preds and dreads (about 5 times) and I finally break in, destoy a good number of buildings, but he manages to relocate. Then DoW starts to act funny. Textures start disappearing. My mouse cursor locks to the centre of the screen. Then the screen goes completely while. Then DoW hangs.
