So we did ZG last night, and for the first time I actually had fun in the place. Maybe it was the way we cleared the trash, maybe it was different bosses, either way it was really fun. I guess the only real hiccup was that we decided to get a little extra kiting practice on Arlokk. Even the loot was sweet this time. Reyinx picked up his new dog collar and some super sweet legs.
Anyway, so what pisses me off today? No matter how late I go to bed I always ended up getting up uber early. Today it was 715am and this is beginning to suck. I only have 6 days of vacation left, I would like to actually get some sleep. It is only going to get worse tonight with our 8 boss clear. I guess I better take a nap today.

Go to your local Pharmacy, pick up some Tylenol PMs, pop one b4 going to bed, and enjoy.
I have a glorious 14hr workday today, so I'll be missing MC, Murphy's law, the GS helm will drop.

Murphy's law will be that the legs, boots, and shoulders of Might will drop today when Telva doesn't have the points to win any of the rolls, but that will be good when the coreforged greaves drop on Friday.
And I don't want to get into the habit of popping pills to sleep well. I love afternoon naps, especially the 2 hour kind.
I guess I need to make myself a nifty little signature. Or maybe I will fight the trend and stay signature less.

Had fun last night, but it was a rude reminder of how much harder it is to heal vs. dps. I'm guessing "Winsome as healer" will be a short-lived experiment if I don't get up the learning curve a little faster (besides, admit it, you miss my dark side).
Lessons learned from three "first-time" kills for me:
Thekal: All about positioning. Lost the MT because of bad positioning when blast wave knocked me out of healing range. If I had had my back to the wall like I was supposed to, I would have kept him up. Would like to think I wouldn't have much trouble with this one, now that I have a better sense of where to stand and why. Oh, and duh-of-the-night: PW:S whenever MVB gets Mortal Striked. The one form of healing that doesn't suffer a 50% downgrade.
Arlokk: Other than that bitch one-shotting me on a "reappear," I actually had this fight figured out on the third try. The first time . . . well, let's just say it helps to actually see the fight. Descriptions don't do it justice. And losing Holyban to d/c on the second pull was just plain old bad luck. But once you kind of get a feel for it, it seems doable with less carnage. Need another shot at this one to be sure, but at least feel like I know what to expect now.
Hakkar: I'm torn about this fight. On the one hand, actually seemed *easier* than either Thekal OR Arlokk. On the other hand, I think we would have lost MVB if not for the flask he burned. And we shouldn't need flasks to keep him up. But man that is a long fight. I burned two major manas and still had to do some regenning to stay in the fight. I need to rethink how I'm going to cover him so that we don't need quite so many consumables. Also wouldn't hurt to upgrade some of the Devout gear I'm wearing if I really intend to follow this path.
Thanks to everyone, especially MVB, for letting a "rookie" healer get some practice in (I've never healed in MC past Magdamar, or ZG at all). I'll try to get some practice in before the next core run. Or I'll just respec back to evil and let the smarter priests handle this duty. <shudder>.

I thought you did very well Winsome, especially for being rusty. I'd like to see you do it some more, if that's amenable to you.
To be honest, other than Arlokk and the stupid bridge-aggro, I was very happy with the way last night's group played.
Hakkar was carried out with precision, and Thekal was pretty good ... I did die twice on Thekal, but Winsome has figured out why so I reck'n it'll be fine next time.
I did not like burning a flask on Hakkar. I don't have the kind of money to toss around on them, and Supa has been less active and so unable to craft more.
That being said, things that are important = a) finishing the MVB rep so I can get the +500 hp Zanza potions for things like that ... b) making sure we have a KINGS blessing on any Hakkar kill. Those two would have prevented the Titans burn easily. Now Luci gets to suffer the EVIL WRATH OF MY LAST 80 MINUTES OF TITAN RAWR. Well, no, by the time the raid is formed and going, it'll probably run out /cry.
Re: the latenight runs ... meh, I got up at 7AM ... wish we could eliminate trash from MC and ZG with Exalted rep or something.

If you've got the gold for repairs, I've got the time to brush up on my healing. I don't give up easily.
That said, what is this "renew" spell people keep talking about? They say it is good, but it doesn't do much damage, so I'm inclined to leave it off my hotbar.

Back to work today for me....I really like ZG and hate to miss it. If an Armsplint ever drops I will prbably break down and buy a Focus Libram.
I have to pick and choose my raid nights and in the past MC was always my priority. Well since my wife sprung this Birthday dinner with her Dad on me at least I get to go Friday and Sunday with no back talk from the wife.

When are you gonna learn Nief, everything and it's mom require's dreamfoil. And I was wondering, where do I get the 5man Scholo quest to finally get that damned major mana pot recipe?

Aye Zeph
5 man Scholo quest for 2 very good Alch recipies starts right out front of Scholo. Talk to the lady there and listen to her story, then she will give you a 3 part quest.
Kill the Dr and burn her and her husbands bodies
Kill Jandice and get her Bag O Horrors
Kill Batman
I have a trick to clear Scholo in a raid and then do the quests 5 man. It doesnt involve leaving raid just before the doctor dies as some people do. Its a little trick I learned to turn a raid into a regular group when I did my Warlock quest in Scholo for my pony.
We can try it next time we do a Vectus run.
