So, my guess?
Her mom helps her make little mini-cups with Jell-O so she can make Christmas money.

Fucking school board suspends her. Police now must TEST HER HAIR AND OTHER THINGS FOR DRUGS. Weak. Really nice way to reinforce the girl for trying to do something nice for Chistmas.

Thats fucked. You cant fucking sell jello? Fucking fags. Even if it was laced with alchahol, its good for those fucking little kids, get them to fucking calm down and listen to their fucking propagandists. Fucking hell!

they don't even know if it has alcohol in it... they just are in the same types of containers... her mother works at a bar and gave them to her daughter to make money for christmas...

If they have alcohol... then the mother should get in trouble... leave the kid alone... if they don't, then the school should appologize.

If they have alcohol in them, the mother should be locked up for good for making her 8 year old sell alcohol in school..
If they don't..well..I guess that school couldn't risk it being alcoholic.

Wow, that's total crap, especially if they didn't have alchohol. Suspended for attempting to sell a look alike? WTF is that, the girl wasn't going around saying "hey want some fucking jello shots? they look just like the real thing".

They’re homemade things... the mother makes alcoholic ones for the bar... she could have just used the same containers and put normal jello in them... it's possible and understandable... however, it's all conjecture on my part. :)

Well i would assume they AREN"T jello shots since she's selling them 3 for $1. you'd kinda take a loss at that price.

I would concur, plus unless shes a fking moron, she would send regular jello to school. Plus, what fucking kid knows that a jello shot is at that age? serious

The fact that they are being sent to a lab is pretty telling... a smell of the substance would be enough...

maybe if they leave them alone for a year they'll partially turn to alcohol... the grape juice I used to get at school was always a 'little' fermented... which only tells you how long ago they bought the stuff.

It's just an example of a school overreacting yet again. i mean okay, if the nearly impossibly stupid happens and it actually turns out to be jello shots, fine. it could happen. but for fucks sake, what are the actual chances of that? If they come back from the lab as non alchoholic it's like "WTF?". their suspending an 8 year old girl for trying to raise money for a christmas thingy. It's like my school banning magic cards as "an instrument for gambling" because craps was a popluar game in my school.

here's a funny story.

English class for 9th grade, the students are asked to write a poem. So this one girl decides that her poem will be about somebody dieing, along the lines of whatever the famous Woman poets name was (it's late and I hate english, live with my ignorance). The teacher reads the poem, and gives it to the school counciler. School counsiler (dumb ass bitch that she is) decides that the girl is SUICIDAL and has to take MANDATORY THERAPY SESSIONS.

This happend at MY school. So next time I am forced to write poetry i'm gonna have me a little revenge :D

WHAT THE FUCK.

It's the same thing as that girl a few years ago who was expelled for carrying a MICKEY MOUSE CHAIN into school. It was 3 inches long and was like a little keychain. The school board considered it a dangerous object and she was expelled.

WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH OUR SYSTEM?

Columbine comes along and fucking changes everything ... freedom of action is gone. You can't even bring nail clippers into class, or you get suspended. Plastic knives have been banned. All sharp pointed objects like compasses have rubber attached to their ends.

The school systems are clearly overreacting to everything. Jello = drugs, my ASS.

cheers, and

school boards should only have power over one school and be made up of the teachers, principle, and some parents.

agreed on the first part. The united states school system is slowly gaining power through control of young childrens lives, by way of slowly bending the limits by making farther stretching rules and such. They make rules, and see just how far they can push it. This infringes on freedom of speech and many other freedoms. I fully support Columbine and other school shootings for this reason alone. The educational system has far too much power and i would lose sleep if every school board in the country was vaporized by a fucking...vaporizer thing.

again, the way to break them is with school vouchers... they'll just bleed to death.

I dunno. They let anything go here on the westcoast. They even let the GSA go. (gay straight alliance). Personally, i dont give a fk if you are or not, just dont rub it in my face. School boards will always be nazis. I hate my fking school distrct and my mums a teacher there. So many things are banned just because. Black, you should have sued for wrongfull imprisonment trauma ect. Took them to the cleaners. fuckers should burn

However, in CA, you could sue and get more cash and actually force the school district to pay your legal fees. Plus reimburse you for lost time, ect ect.

wow, black. if you were older you could have sued the crap out of them

i know they started these "random drug tests" at our school- but get this- its only for people in extracurricular stuff, or people who drive. where are they getting this money? they bumped up parking vouchers $50. my complaints? people in extracurricular activities probably arent the type to be doing drugs- if i did drugs, i wouldn't even bother with band. the testing didnt even start on schedule. i think they've done it twice thus far, and it was meant to be a monthly thing starting in august. so out of the 180 or so people they have tested, nobody was found to have drugs. what a beauracracy.

on the flip side, we're allowed to have our plastic knives, still- and even have single-sided blades up to two inches, because the district got sued for taking up a 3rd grader's 1.5 inch traditional korean pencil sharpener, which was essentially a pocket knife blade. go texas!
heh, thats not really anything, though. when you think about it, we're given free access to 4" teachers' scissors. so far? for a school thats been open since '87 and acclaimed to have "shootings" and "stabbings" every week, nobody's died in an act of violence on school premises

you're not going to sell the School district and win... it would be more productive to shoot yourself... less painful too...
