View Full Version : Waibanez 60 Pally
Waibanez
Dec 12, 2005, @ 04:46 PM
Char name: Waibanez
Class: Paladin.
Level: 60.
Race: Human (Diplomacy baby! :) )
Professions: 201 First aid(Working on it was at 71 last night and got it up to 201 before logging <3 SM), 236 Mining, 300 Skinning (Gatherer)
Spec : 21/19/11 (Easier farming since I didn’t think I would come back from a PVP server all to often)
About me:
Well, as of right now I’m 19 living in a good little town, with really nothing to do but game! I work as a PC Technician, and Help Desk Support for my company for which I have been with since I Graduated from high school. A few months ago I left for a PVP server while in the guild Phoenix Royal Guard. Over the next few months, the people I was close with and loved to play with left PRG, and came here. I’m looking to play and enjoy my time, which currently isn’t happening on DI (If you’d like to know more about that situation I’d rather discuss that one in private).
A little bit more from above:
Waibanez has been my in-game name for a while now, but was not my first character to grace the goodness of Wow! I started off with a a Nelf-Hunter. I mean come on who doesn’t start off with a Nelf? Gotta love those sexy beasts /Flex I got him to level 21, before some of my RL friends started the game so I rerolled into the pally that is of today!
A Bit about my character:
So far in this characters history he has done many things, and has accomplished many feats, and made some great friends in the process ;). He has been up to Golemagg with PRG
Attunements?:
Waibanez is Attuned for MC/BWL/Onyxia, he’s been through the roundabout!
MMORPG History:
Back when I was a wee lad I played UO/ on the Custom realms so you didn’t have to pay, seeing as my parents thought it was blasphemy to pay for online games ;) I also played SWG for a year up until the Jedi-Valley and Jump to Lightspeed expansion
Playing hours:
Seeing as I live in eastern and work in central time zones my time gets a bit screwy through the winter months. Right now I’m able to play from 5:30 PM Eastern to about 1:00 AM Eastern During the weekend I usually play from Friday to Sunday with a bit of time in there to rest ;)
What I expect from the guild:
I expect to have fun; it’s all I really want. I’ve been to this point twice now, and it’s driving me nuts :/
What I plan on putting into the guild:
I plan on having fun with all the members, and getting to know everyone. I know some of you might know me as that crazy little forum troll :/ but, meh it’s fun sometimes!
Thanks all for the pleasure of this application, and I hope to hear/group up with many of you soon (If I’m on send me a tell when you want a pally!)
Thanks,
Ron

HoTC family,
Having been a former guildmate and continued friend of Waib, I can tell you with all honesty that he is not only an amazing pally, but he's a very nice guy as well. To be honest, I used to personally request him for my groups in MC because I would be certain he'd do his job and be a fun group mate. Most of the time he'd be put with group 1 (the elite group - uh, not mine) because they knew just how darned good he was.
He's being very modest in his application - I can promise you that he was one of the most highly sought after and respected Paladins in the Phoenix Royal Guard. Furthermore, he's gained the respect and admiration of people on multiple servers for his character, integrity and well, he's just that darned good.
I remained his friend after leaving PRG - and you know why? Because he's one of the people of this server who is so very giving, kind, and knows his class. These are rare qualities. He's generous (the man helped me so much in getting enough rugged leather for my Darkmoon Amulet!) and funny and a genuinely good guy. He has many friends on Dalaran - people who respect him and enjoy his company, in this guild and many others. He has characters which are level 60 (he's got a 60 rogue on Dark Iron), so he understands and appreciates how they play as well and is sensitive to that. He's got MC experience, Onyxia experience and nekkid dancing experience....er...ixnay that last part, ok? <laugh> Waib is active on forums and TS/Vent, and really excited about everyone ultimately having fun while achieving our goals. He puts 200% into everything he does on WoW. He does everything he can to help people, from instance runs to helping people on quests. I can't say enough good about him!
And ladies, last I heard....he's single again! Woot!
Guys, I know that Pallytards are plentiful - but EXCELLENT ones are few & far between. You can find eleventy billion people who can play their toon in a mediocre fashion. Waib is different. Waibanez is an excellent Paladin, as good a healbot/buffbot as they come but whoops some keister when necessary. I think he would be an excellent addition to our family and I think his interaction and contribution to the guild would be most welcome.
Please, do give him a test drive and see for yourself what a great guy he is. You'll agree with me that he's worth his weight in gold.

He puts 200% into everything he does on WoW.
Good, exactly the type of attitude I like. Waibanez, please whisper me in-game so I can take ya along on some runs and see what you got.
Whisper away, I'm on all night.

Waib has my support in pursuing an application with HotC. I know we have a lot of pallies, so I can't promise that raid availabilities will be there every week due to the fierce competition, but he has gone through all the "right" procedures, getting to know me/others in HotC, having friends here, etc.
This is by no means a "you're in" post, but it IS an "I'm already impressed, and we'll give you every opportunity to impress the command as a whole" post. I look forward to seeing you in action Waiban.

I'd like to put my 2 cents in as well for what it's worth. Waib has been one of the best Pallies I've grouped with. He's also always made himself available when needed even on runs he'd done a million times and needed nothing from. He's an all around good guy in game and out. We'd be missing out if we let him go.

OK my turn to give Waib his ego boost.
I had known Waib from a few different PuGs when I was still collecting all my Dreadmist. When I was at a point in the game where running Scholo/Strat/UBRS were just not cutting it anymore. I decided to join SFU on DI.
Well there was Waibanez and many other Dalaran folks. He was always helping people out with random lowbie quests even though he had really leveled fast over there.
My mage on DI reached level 30 but then I got an opportunity to join HotC, I have not been over DI much since then.
Since then everytime he comes over to Dalaran he always /w me to see whats going on, how far along HotC is, how many pieces of Fel do I have now.
He is a cool level headed guy, and a good Pally also.
Even though we are "full on Pallies", and he might not get all the raid time he could hope for. He is an applicant we should look into.

Hello again!
Thanks for the kind comments all :D
I just wanted to tell the Tribute group I was with I had a lot of fun, hehe Two pallys Two mages and a Priest, I'm not used to that kind of build and it was pretty cool to see it all go down!
I also got to 300 First aid last night, I hit 299, so I went and bought a stack of runecloth to Top it out, so if any of the younger characters needs several stacks of mageweave, heavy mageweave bandages I have a whole stock in my bank that i'm just giving away!
I look forward to more crazy runs like that :)

I ran Dire Maul North with Goe, Merlyn, Aro, and me on Fafnir - and despite Goe's penchant for consecrating everything to the consternation of us sheeping folk the cloth squishies remained relatively unsquished, and allowed from some good ol' evil mind control experimentation toward the end of the run... which, as us healer types know, although fun and the best way to mitigate damage, you can't do if the entire team hasn't brought their game with them.
This may be praise (depending on your perspective) but with the nameplates turned off, I had problems diferentiating between Waib and Goe (the only real way to tell is Goe's penchant for hopping around everywhere he goes in righteous glee).

I'm liking what I'm hearing.

Hey, it's what us toughboys do! I actually had to wear plate this run hehe :P I've got the assorted cloth and mail gear in my pack as well. the Mind control experiment was definately a trip seeing the ogres running back and forth then seeing one of them breaking and just start beating on you squishies was like Rut Roh! Like I said I had tons of fun, and i look forward to doing more runs like that!

Yes this is one tremendous praise in my book, Goenitz was doing something That I have never seen done by a pally, so IMO Thank you very much :)

I was very pleased with Waibanez's performance. I even threw a few tricks on him and he reacted immediately to whatever I asked of him. Very good.
Even though we are SEVERELY FULL on pallies, indeed it would be a waste to let waibanez slide off our grasp. He gets my thumbs up, just Waibanez, if you are let in, you need to remember. That we ARE very full on pallies, so you may not always get to go on runs. Aknowledge this and say you have no problem with it, and all will be well in the land of pallyland.
Would be sweet to have him on my upcoming 10 pally UBRS project too.

I'm pretty sure I can deal with that, I've got alts plenty of em!
10-man pally UBRS eh?
I'm quite interested in that, sounds like it would be a pretty neat trip!

So...I was at school last night and when I came home found that y'all were in ZG and Waiby was helpin' y'all kick butt with his mad leet skillz.
Is he in yet? Can we keep him? ::big puppy dog eyes:: I made him a bed out of cardboard and everything!
::stuffs half-eaten Big Mac into Waib's mouth to show he eats well::
