Yes, the first in a series of high-level instance guides for you nubs to look over! First off, my favourite instance in the game, Dire Maul 2. I copied this from a post I made in GFAQs, so if some of the comments don't make sense remember that.

Warlocks are not needed, despite what people say. I've only ever had a warlock help once and we did fine vs. the elementals. If you can't take three of them at a time, you bought your character off EBay. HOWEVER, if a Warlock with his epic mount quest is around, you can kill the warlock epic boss, which drops some AWESOME loot.

The route you should take is:

First pylon
Tendris Warpwood (giant tree guy)
Back out, to south ghost area, kill easternmost group then take the wall around to Magister
Back out, to north ghost area, kill easternmost group then take the wall around up the ramp
Shortcut jump up and over the ramp (jump into the corner a few times until you stick, then jump again)
Second pylon
Around through quest giver to third pylon
Hunter boss (has an aggro bigger than my ego, be careful - also, the pet CAN be sheeped)
Jump into Tendris Warpwood area
Go through door
Clear both remaining pylons
Kill Immol'Thar
Go through door into library
Kill Prince
(optional) Go back into Immol'thar room, and do the warlock epic quest
If applicable, go back to the quest giver and hand in quest, then go into library and open the chest for rewards.

There's a rare spawn in the ghost area, but he doesn't drop much

When fighting the ghosts, ensure that the banshees remain shackled, as they silence and have a hugely damaging AOE - I hope you brought a priest

Immol'Thar launches eyes - have a hunter dedicated to destroying them, or, if not, any ranged dps class.

Residual Monstrosities = instant wipe

Careful of invisible mobs

Both ghost pulls should be done around a corner

Ensure that the warrior keeps his back to the wall vs. Prince.

DM has 3 instances like SM.

North -your basic 'tribute' run full of orges etc and is technically the 'hardest of the 3.

Tips here:

Dont kill the bosses!
Use the trap to freeze one of the bosses and get the orge suit.
When you get to the 'king' and the 'speaker' OT (off tank) the speaker and kill the king. All get the 'king buff' before opening the chest.
Run back through the instance and speak to each boss to get a buff :)

There is also a door to the libary there for swift runs for librims/prince farming :)

East -basically the easyest of the 3, full of demons and plants.

Tips:

There is a little imp near the start, talk to him and catch him to get the 'cresent key' this is required to open both north and west.

West - boss farming zone for mindtraps!

Tips:

As above you can avoid all the patrols and go kill warpwood -> kendris, walk out and reset. Kendis has a good chance of droping the 'class' books which give some of the best blue trinkets in the game (along with the quel'sar quest epic book). You can also make some very good money if you get a class book at the AH (on SC they go for 200g+ depending on type).

2bIt, remember that the guards in DM North drop great stuff for melee classes :) A good trick is to run a tribute, have the whole group apart from the healer get the buffs, leave the instance, then return, and then taking on the bosses for the rest of the loot - the group can attack the bosses, but the bosses can't attack the priest :)

You guys are all aware none of this makes any sense whatsoever for someone who has never been there, right? Need more info for this to be useful. :P

... Cut, that doesn't count. We never actually went inside. I meant I'd like some more specific info about what the bosses do, what are these buffs they're talking about, etc.

You could look it up on google if you're curious, or we can eventually learn first hand by getting raped by the bosses ect, that's the way I like to go :P

Boss details, I'm in no position to talk about, because, as a tank, my role is limited to sundering the hell out of things and occasionally intercepting if necessary :)

Tendris Warpwood: Difficult to keep aggro, uses roots, knockback
Magister: Uses Mind Control
Hunter boss: Aggro range bigger than Synergy's ego, pet can be sheeped
Immol'Thar: Lots of HP, big hitter, spawns eyes which must be slain ASAP by a ranged attacker, warps the tank (think of it as a punt)
Prince: Light hitter, fast hitter, huge knockback, warps tank to him at the start of the fight, DROPS PHAT LEWT
