Reyinx

Hello HotC. This is an application for Reyinx, Lvl60 warrior. I know HotC is not actively seeking warriors at the moment, but I want to apply anyway, as I read that good apps will always be considered regardless of need.
For the entirety of my WoW experience, I have been a member of the Samurai Lackies. I am leaving the Lackies due to the unofficial gradual dissolution of the guild, which has largely resulted from complete apathy of the founding members/officers. Watching the guild you grew up in die slowly as your friends leave one by one is a very depressing experience.
I think HotC would be a perfect place for Reyinx to land (no, I have not applied elsewhere). You have a great reputation for recruiting members that take the game seriously and know how to play and cooperate, but also know how to keep it fun. My 2-hour experience farming MC with you a couple weeks ago -- albeit brief -- confirmed this, and I think my attitude about the game very much fits with your philosophy.
Ok, so here's the app:
Name: Reyinx
Class: Warrior
Level: 60 (with > 15 days play time at 60)
Race: Night Elf
Attunement: MC/BWL/Onyxia
Build
I am currently a pure fury/arms build: 37 fury, 14 arms, 0 defense. I built Reyinx this way a while back for solo-farming purposes for various materials and my epic mount (which i now have), and found that it's also quite an effective build for boss killing, not to mention an incredibly fun way to play a warrior. I've been honing my fury skills for some time now on ZG bosses (i'm usually able to dish out about 8 executes in the last 10 seconds of the fight). My talent choices are far from haphazard. I do a LOT of research, reading, and testing (as other warriors who know me will vouch for, I hope), and I can give people quite a longwinded rationale for every single talent in my tree.
I also know how to tank. I was a defensive build for a long time before switching to fury, and I picked up a lot of tricks. Part of what I love about this game, particularly as a warrior, is knowing that there are ALWAYS new things to learn. I love picking up new techniques from other tanks more seasoned than I, and I'm always happy to share my own strategies with others and discuss the pros and cons of various combos and playstyles.
Professions
300 first aid (and always equipped with several stacks of heavy runecloth bandages), 300 herbalism, 300 alchemy. Chosen so that I wouldn't have to rely on others for my healing/mongoose/rage potions. I have the standard alchemy recipes, plus Elixir of Brute Force (+18 STR / +18 STA), which I'm happy to dish out for people, though there seem to be some stacking issues with other spells/pots, and I don't think blizzard has fixed it yet...
Gear
I'm not going to bore you by going through every single piece of equipment I own. I have 5 valor pieces and I'm about to get a lionheart helm (which I'm very excited about), so in berserker stance with the usual buffs, I have upwards of 20% crit chance and basically limitless rage. As far as defensive gear, I top out around 390 (400 if/when i respec to def). Therefore even in my current fury build, I can MT 5-10 man runs without a problem and on occasion I've successfully filled in as OT on trash mobs in MC, though obviously there'd be no need for a fury warrior to do this with HotC. The only area in which I'd say I'm sorely lacking is FR gear, but of course if I start running MC regularly, I'll make a concerted effort to improve this. HP with fury gear is 4500 ubuffed; with def gear, just shy of 5000.
Extras
CTRaid, of course, and most of the other CT mods. I've installed teamspeak but never really had occasion to use it, but I'm happy to start using it if necessary (same goes for ventrillo).
About Myself
My real name is Evan. I live in NYC and I'm currently doing marketing for a mobile gaming startup, though I'm not sure how long I'll be there, since I'm in the process of starting a web company. Due to my job, girlfriend, and the business I'm starting, I don't play WoW every day, but I have no problem keeping a regular weekly WoW schedule. When I commit to something I show up on time, and if I have to cancel, I always do so with plenty of notice. I treat others with respect and expect the same in return, and I have an optimistic attitude and a sense of humor about pretty much everything.
Thanks for taking the time to read this. Sorry if it was too long. I look forward to getting to know some of you and hopefully playing with you on a regular basis as part of your guild and one of your friends.
