Hey All,
After conversations with Mike and considerable thought, I would like to submit my application to join Heroes of the Command. I have talked over the possibility of joining several times with Mike in game and never really pulled the trigger because I was afraid that what I have to offer might not be accepted. You see, I have a 60 Priest (McCoy) and a 52 Rogue (Weeble) and they are both in the guild Three of Cups. Three of Cups is a very small guild with only real life friends. We partner up consistently with Rahien Sorei for high-end instances and we had four members of Three of Cups on the very first Casusal Raiders ZG raid sponsored by Winsome. What I would like to do is to have Weeble join HotC and leave McCoy in Three of Cups but use McCoy if ever needed and eventually bring him over when the time is right.
I am a mature adult male in my late 30's and I am a systems engineer. I live in New Hope, PA and work in New Jersey. I have a wife and no kids so I can play most of the time when my better half doesn't need the grass cut, garage cleaned, cars washed, etc... :-) I thoroughly enjoy playing Warcraft and I appreciate the community aspect of the game. I contribute on the forums regularly and I like to help out new players whenever I can.
Weeble is a 52 Rogue with 312 Engineering and 242 Mining. He is also a Master Sergeant and was the first Alliance character on Dalaran to make the top 1000 PvP rankings as a level 49 character. Weeble was my main PvP character and I still enjoy PvPing with him. I have taken a little break from him (PvP wise) to work with my Hunter on the Horde side lately and I've had some good challenges with Aethan, Amorn's alt in the 20-29 Warsong BGs. Obviously at level 52, he doesn’t have any of his 1st tier gear set but this is something I’ll be working hard on and I hope to have Weeble at 54 by this weekend.
McCoy is a Holy Priest with talent points in Holy and Disc. He has all of his devout gear except for the gloves. He has nice +healing items as well and can generally flash heal for +1000 and crit for about 1700 to 1900. McCoy is my main character and I like to think I play him well. I do a great job of conserving mana by not over healing and I don't spam anything. I do my best to use the right heal spell for the right reason. McCoy is not offensive at all. In fact, my offensive spells are not even on my main bars. McCoy is a healer and only will only use mind blast or smite to maybe take out an "Eye" in Strat or a DOT on a low level skelly. McCoy has 300 herbalism and about 120 enchanting. I dropped 300 Alchemy for enchanting when our guild started doing instance runs and we didn't have any way to disenchant because our Enchanter wasn't high enough to go into the instances with us. I hope this demonstrates that I am willing to sacrifice my own time and effort for the better of the guild.
I am not a loot whore. Although I do like to improve my gear so I can be more effective at my role. I won't ever argue over gear. I usually will let an item go to someone that feels they could use it more than me. I feel confident that the players I surround myself with will look out for me as I will look out for them. Lastly, I have played all classes to at least level 10 except for the Paladin. I made it my business to understand the capabilities of the other classes because it not only helps in PvP but to know what skills can be used in instances and such.
