Before I even start, I'd like you to know I have read all of the required reading about your guild and raid point system.

Now for the basic info:

Name: Stormclaw
Class: Druid
Level: 60
Spec: 31 Feral/11 Balance/5 Restoration
Professions: Tailoring/Skinning (Both 300)
Ventrilo/Teamspeak: Yes. Can anyone survive without this these days?
Play time: Highly flexible...But for the most part I play on the weekends and randomly through the weekdays.
Attuned to MC: Yes
Attuned to BWL: I'll be honest...I don't remember, but I'm willing to bet on Yes :P

So now that that's outta the way...on to who I really am :)

I was pointed to this guild by actually a few people. I'm sure you're familiar with Vampyr and Leridyn. I've heard many good things about the guild, and I'm eager to try it out. I'm not going to stand here and pretend like I'm the best thing to ever happen to HotC or that it'll work out perfectly if I join. What I can tell you is that I'm a very easy-going and nice guy that is willing to give it a try!

I have 3 other characters, 1 of which is level 60 and on Firetree (Slackjaw UD Rogue), 1 on Wildhammer (42 Gnome Mage, Fuzzball), and 1 here on Dalaran (41 Gnome Warlock, Ruffles). So far, I've had the most fun with Stormy and Slackjaw. I've been inactive on Stormclaw for a while now though because of issues I had with my previous guild PRG. I won't discuss it publicly, but suffice it to say, it was time I got myself out of there (still have many friends there, but it just wasn't for me). I have been playing my Rogue mostly, but I really would like to get back into my Druid now, especially after my new respec after the patch. And I figure, if I'm starting fresh, I should find a place that will make it enjoyable for me.

Because of my experience with many different characters, I am quite a good player in all aspects (if I do say so myself :P). While I won't claim to be the best, I can guarantee that you will never be disappointed with my performance.

If you want to try and force me to respec, you can try it, but probably won't get far :P At least until I try out this Feral spec to its full extent. I don't believe a guild should force its members to do anything they don't want to, but instead try to make the most of what they have.

With that said, I want to make it perfectly clear that I'm not too concerned with getting the Druid epic gear sets at the moment. Because of my Feral spec, it actually works out better for me to get blue Rogue-style gear. However, I still would like to participate in Molten Core runs and Zul'Gurub runs (even though I have not been there yet...Blackwing Lair as well). I enjoy the experience of teamwork and being stretched to the max...put to the test. With that in mind, let me point out that while I put forth my best effort, if we wipe on anything...I don't really care a whole lot. Just dust yourself off and try again...that's my philosophy. In the end, sometimes wiping is actually more fun than killing the boss just because of the laughs you can have about it :P

So in closing, I ask that you give me careful consideration, and if anything, just try me out. If it doesn't work out, no hard feelings, and I'll try to find another home for myself.

Stormclaw is one of the nicest, most generous people I've played with since WoW. He's been a guildmate of mine in 2 guilds and he's always been awesome. He's an excellent druid, isn't a loot fiend, and is one of the funniest guys in the game.

For what it's worth, I vouch for him 1000% (yes, that's 1 thousand). I've always been honored to be his guildmate and group with him often.

Please, can we keep him?

bump...

Can I get an acknowledgement that my app has been read or looked at? That'd put me at ease :P

The officers have looked over your app ... and I personally consider it very well thought out and written.

We're discussing your membership, and I also encourage you to see if you can hook up via Leri with some members for a run here or there to get a feel out for you.

We'll get back to you as soon as we can manage. While we are "full" on druids, you certainly wrote a thoughtful enough app. to merit consideration under the exceptional applicants clause ... which we take quite seriously :)

Awesome! Thanks for the reply.

I'll see if I can schedule something this weekend for us. Hope to see you soon!

Stormclaw spent more than 2 hours with our farming party in Winterspring on Saturday and was really awesome! I'm sure our other party members will agree that he was fun, efficient and would be a great addition to our guild. I wholeheartedly vouch (again) for him, and ask that anyone in the Winterspring Farming Expedition who was there give their opinion! I'd like to see him in a good guild, and I think this would be a good home for him.

Thanks, all!

Heh. Leri is too fast for me.

I was in the group today where Stormclaw spent two hours farming Winterspring for Eye of Shadows for HotC.

We had no warrior in the party, so he had to tank Level 60 Elites as we chain-pulled them. In my mind he both demonstrated selflessness (in that he doesn't need the eye, and that is one boring place to farm) and talent (in holding aggro while two mages, one rogue and one shadow priest go berserk on mob after mob).

Seems like good people to me. I know it was only two hours, but I certainly got a great impression of him. At a very minimum, I support him being rostered for a guild run so that leadership can see him in action. I suspect he would impress.

hehe...Thanks guys :)

I think they were making a game of it towards the end with the hardcore nuking and double pulls :P

It was a fun experience though. I got to actually test out my feral ability, and I liked it :D And you guys were a great bunch too...made my first day back enjoyable!

Hope to see you soon,

I too was in the farming group for the Eye with Stormclaw. We rocked the place and he did a great job tanking those big guys. Only bad thing was no eye :(. But he did great and we rocked the place. Two thumbs up.

Hi Fuzzy! You know who I am. :)

Baron runs, eh? As a matter of fact...Hey look over there!

*goes cat and stealths away*

:P Just kidding. I love doing all the high level instances really. Just don't make me do Uldaman, and we won't have a problem ;)

I do particularly like Stratholme though. Don't ask why, but I love the instance (Human side is the best, but Baron is lots of fun too). UBRS is in a close 2nd, and Scholo is 3rd (just because of the damn green gas that people always get themselves killed on from full health!)

And hey Bluey! We're guildies on Wildhammer :P Hope I'll see you around here too!

Another Bump for Stormie's app. I've known him snce we were in Darkmoon together and he's was also in PRG with Leridyn and I as well. A very stand up guy. Always helpful and selfless. He helped us both on our journey to level 60 even though he was close to 60 at the time and go no xp from the mobs we were fighting. He would be an asset to the guild.

I've heard nothing but good things about Stormy, and am in support of this application.

Once Thyra talks to him, if he is cool with it, I clear Thy to give him a /ginvnite.

Woot! I am certain that you won't be disappointed, Mike. Stormie is family to me & Asarlai, and he is as selfless as they come. Would that there were more people in this world like him!

Wonderful to hear that, MVB. This guy came with me today to fight the On'goro demon. It was way out of his way, but he was happy to do it. Can't wait to see him in game.
