View Full Version : Bragi's Application

Bragi
Oct 9, 2005, @ 03:04 AM
Name: Bragi
Race: Human
Class: Warrior
Level: 60
Former Guild: Spartans
Profession: 300 Miner
Attuned to MC

Background Information:
I bought World of Warcraft three days after it came out. I was pretty much a die hard fan boy when I heard the rumors the next blizzard game was going to be a MMORPG. Back then I was purely a First Person Shooter twitch gamer operating with some of the best clans for games like Day Of Defeat and Desert Combat (Bf1942 mod). I've pretty much made the full conversion from FPS to MMORPGs. I like to think of it along the lines that my tastes have matured :)

Why I'd like to Join HoTC:
I was a member of my former guild since those few days after release, and enjoyed being a member, but as the levels keep piling up I look towards end game content like anyone else would. My former guild is more of a family guild then a raiding guild, and even with Unity under there belt still just cant muster the numbers. Combine that with the fact the new leader now removes a persons Alts if they choose to leave the guild (showing absolute disrespect for some of the old time members who've already left) for a higher calling has made me think about my future and who I would like to spend it with. The people I would like to spend it with are the members of HoTC. Just the fact that you folks require people to sign up on your forums and put an application in shows that you are serious and know what your doing.

I've always loved being A warrior. Its just who I am in real life. A brute who choses force over finesse. I am always on my A game, even if its just in a simple P.U.G. I plan on putting the 20g down (Yes I know, 20 gold. I just could not decide between Fury or Arms as my main tree) fairly soon and doing a full respec to Protection, but even now being a 18/31/0 warrior I am able to hold aggro like an all star.

Thanks for giving me the time of day folks.

Woot. You get my vote for two reasons, despite the fact I haven't met you.

1) Your application was extremely well written. You put a lot of thought into this.

2) You have latin in your sig. That = the rawx.

As a former Spartan, I've played many times with Bragi in a group. He plays very well, and knows exactly what needs to be done...and gets er done.

One little act that I remember him doing was helping my alt warrior out when I was working on my whirlwind quest, the final part where you have to beat the elemental. I doubt he knew who my main was (60 lock), but he had no problems helping a noob warrior out with whatever part of the quest I needed.

He speaks his mind when he feels somethings done unfairly, but also knows how to follow directions.
The alts he referred to in his post were my alts (46 warrior and 29 rogue), along with Cana's 3 alts. All were kicked out of the Spartans when we took our Mains and brought them to HoTC.
The day my alts were kicked out, he voiced his opinion, chewed some ppl out...then removed his 58 warrior from that guild.

For that, and many others reason, he has my respect and my recommendation to join HoTC. Woot!!

Bragi is perfect HotC candidate. Bragi is a strong player and is constantly seeking improvement. Bragi went on a HotC UBRS run on Saturday. He blended right in with the gang both game speaking and socially. When Bragi first entered this app he was level 58. Both Waz and I told him to get to 60--Ding 60...Gratz dude. Both Waz and I told him that he should get himself attuned, when I logged on this afternoon where was Bragi, in BRD getting attuned. Before I could even type to him, he whispers me "hey cana, now that i'm 60 should i just respec to Protection?"

Dedicated, Integrity, constantly seeking improvement...if these aren't HotC qualities I don't know what are.

I just did a 5 man Strat with Bragi and must say that it was a pleasure. He really did hold aggro very well and did his part to make it a very smooth, successful run.
He then went straight on and helped out in our ZG run where he performed equally well.
I would support his addition to the guild.
