[BBF]Friendly Clan scrim

As the Combat Game Commander for DoW division in the BBF multi-gaming clan, I was wondering on behalf of my fellow gamers if we could set up a friendly clan scrim. We just started out into the competitive world of DoW, yet have played some clans before.

Our availability is pretty flexable since we have a fairly large c0re (12 members). We are looking for teams matches from 2vs2 to 4vs4. We are mostly americans, yet can also accomodate european matches depending the day and time.

well i meant my line up.. like get my players since we have many active ones who want to play scrims.. so i have line ups.. well what i call them since i try to get many diff clan scrims going a week.. have 12 members active playing competitively lol

how about dec 13th or 14th.. time i guess between 8-10pm GMT un less we only have american players playing.. then we can set a later time in the day

MVB, Loki, between the two of you reading this, is this ever happening? If MVB's understandeably soulless due to WoW, and likewise might not be participating anyways, we should probably try and organize ourselves somehow.

Loki says he has 12 members up for games. Looking at who's around and whatnot, we should be able to muster at least two teams of 4, or maybe three teams of three. Being a "clan" game, normally I think some of the more talented players would be against playing alongside some of our greener members, as was mentioned in another thread. If we split off and have an A team, a B team and possibly a C, I'm sure we could arrange with Loki to field teams with that in mind. So in a less used tourney style, we could declare winner of 2/3 the winner. Then all prearrange pairs and have a slew of 2v2s for kicks under the same system/idea.

OR something. Just ideas. Really I just want some good, hard competitive games to get off the ground to make DoW enjoyable for our members, as the last time we all gathered was...*thinks*...yeah, I don't know.

Let's get a semblance of organization together before we go post on bbf forums. But yeah we should be getting around to this.

Likewise. I think the big team games, followed by some 2v2s maybe would be cool. It's a chance to put a lot of people together and build momentum for some more activity. If we get to know when they're around etc., or maybe spark some rivalries, who knows? We could be playing a lot more competitive games, and That would be sweet.

*Edits - Yar, if no one else responds I guess I'll hunt all you cunts down myself (lol ironic that mistress is the one who HAS expressed interest). I'll just go grab the supposed "active" list off the dow section and go person by person. There's really no reason not to be in this. Showing other groups that we're active (and there will be 12 of them, plenty of publicity), should show that TLSC is still at least somewhat of a force. Speaking of which, once I get people together we really should get some senior members to coach at least the fundamentals into our newer players. Or at least review them. These will be serious games, so removing the stupid mistakes should give us the edge, or at least even terms should BBF also be preparing. Looks like they have clan outings quite often though. Best time to make a good impression...*wanders off to bug people*.

im thinking me, psy, foree, and weavern for a 4v4 team. foree is new and everything and doesnt have all the good pwnage builds down, but his micro is pretty impressive and he can really think on his feet. id pick him on my team any day ;) but we just gotta learn you some builds foree.

edit: we sorta HAD a rivalry with xt, but they are way out of out league now, probably the best clan in DoW, and we just cant compete. maybe if TLSC would practice team games more...

lol Laser.... We all "practice team games". We're not as worthless as you seem to think we are.

Fell and I play 2vs2's together against teams -constantly-. Prax always gets us into some intense internals. I've got a new group of -really- talented friends that I've introduced PRax and Demon/Amir/Psy to, and we -always- play hardcore games, and we -always- work together.

Don't be so assumptive, and discouraging.

Indeed. ACTUALLY, why don't we bring this up at some point in the DoW meeting. We'll all be talking live, and perhaps we could sort out teams then. Laser, psy, foree and weavern sound like a good team, and if you all end up agreeing to team up, things would look good for at least 1/3 games. I assume mistress and I would form part of a 2nd team, maybe we should think of whom else we'd like. We'll have to dig up the best among who's still alive. Spulm? Morph? Is ath still in existence? I haven't played much with Jolie, but I wasn't let down as far as I remember. I haven't gamed with Dibujante but I've heard good things. Among the 30 or so people I PMed, about a half-dozen come to my mind as active, as in I've seen them around in my many hours of gaming. Demon, amir, Fallen, Abyss, blue, daath and ilia. I'm sure out of those, and maybe other people who show themselves, we could make for another team of 4.

Until the meeting, it seems like it'll be hard to pull it altogether, but I'm looking forward to this. If we set the date to maybe a couple weeks from now, or at least a week, I'd think that we could have some good times scrimming amongst our three teams in order to drill some good, solid 4v4 tactics into our heads. A bit of persistence and I don't see why we can't rely on some good chemistry for the win.

I am on pretty often and I've played with Fell and Mistress a lot and I was hoping to maybe get a spot playing. I know that I'm new and I might not be the best around but with a little training I will probally get better. I've been trying to play as much as possible lately to improve so I would like a chance to prove myself. Microing seems to be what is killing me most of the time but I am getting better with it. Please PM me with a time to get together so I can prove that I am not a complete newb. :)
