So, besides being wicked cool, this patch is also wicked popular. As a result, all of the mod sites are experiencing heavy traffic and you may have had trouble getting online with www.ctmod.net or even curse gaming.
If you have NOT downloaded the latest and greatest versions of these programs, you may find the game refusing to load your "out of date" add-ons when you log in.
If you are thinking of showing up tonight without a working CT_Raid or Decursive though, let me tell you - I NEED MY PANTS. And that means I need you to have working add-ons!
For those of you who don't know this trick (and I suspect many of you do), there is an easy way to "fool" World of Warcraft into thinking your addons are up to date.
Each addon has its own directory (found in your Program Files - World of Warcraft - Interface - Addons directory). In each subdirectory, you will find a text file with the .toc file extension. Open that (using any text editor, such as notepad). One of the first lines will provide the version number (probably 1600 if you haven't updated). Simply change that number to 1700 and save the file. World of Warcraft will now think your files are up to date and allow you to load your addons. Its that easy.
Forgive me if everyone already knows this, but I didn't manage to get the new CT_Mod/Raid downloaded until almost 1:00 a.m., and I had to self-help Decursive because Curse Gaming is down. If this information helps just one more person have up to date mods, I've done my job.
Now you do your job. GET ME MY PANTS!
