I have been playing WOW since February 2005 but have never belonged to a guild. When I make a commitment, I stick to it and didn’t want to commit to a guild that I didn’t feel was worth supporting. I believe that HotC is that guild and I would very much like to be a part of your game play experiences.
Name: Aidain
Race: Human
Class: Pally (Holy / Retribution Spec – Holy Shock)
No current guild
Profession: Mining 300 / Enchanting 225
Other: First Aid 300, MC Attuned
Rank: 4 Master Sergeant
Why I want to join HotC:
I have run through most of the high level instances (BRD, Scarlet Strat, Baron, Scholo, LBRS, and UBRS) with various parties. I am tired of not knowing (and therefore not really trusting) most of the people in the party. I want to be able to run through dungeons with people that I trust and who are good gamers. The runs that I have made with members of HotC have been the most enjoyable that I have made (as well as the most successful). I trust the members that I have grouped with and hope that they have come to trust me as well.
Background Information:
When I began playing WOW, I had a character on a PvP server. The experience soon paled as my low level character kept getting killed by higher level ones. I switched to this server because some friends play on this (although they are mostly Horde characters). Since making the switch, I have been very happy. I soloed much of the time; however, I have grouped up when necessary to run through instances. Currently, I often solo SM, as a way to earn money, and participate in WSG and AV (when it’s up). Although I have run through most of the high level instances I am under no illusion that I know these dungeons well.
While I am interested in running through MC and BWL, I am more interested in the experience of doing so with a good party than in acquiring items. I do want to make sure that my character has the right equipment to help the party be successful, but I don’t mind being the last member to acquire a particular piece. I am willing to take direction as to my role in the party and follow the directions that the leader gives.
I am willing to run through any instances with party members, including SM, Deadmines, ST, and ZF.
I do not yet have my epic mount (I have all of the mats except the Strat water) but will make it a priority if the guild feels it is important. Otherwise, I will continue working towards it slowly.
Future Goals: Obtain entire LF set, get to 300 in Enchanting, continue running through high end instances, explore MC and BWL, become a Knight in PvP rankings, continue to enjoy playing WOW.
Other things to consider:
In addition to WOW, I play Magic: The Gathering competitively and run tournaments. As such, I am not available on Friday nights for runs (these are the nights that I run tournaments).
Secondly, I work at a private school on the East Coast and as such will often have Saturday afternoon commitments at work (I coach during the Winter and Spring seasons and try to see my students play during the Fall season). However, I am usually available any other nights and on Sundays (although I do try to be done by 11pm ET).
As an older player, I recognize that WOW is a game meant to enjoy and have fun with. At the same time, I do take my play seriously and can be relied on to do what is needed. I am good, solid player who looks to support the party over the individual. I listen and take direction well. I would very much like to be a member of your guild. Thank you for your consideration.
