/cheers to the wednesday night raids! So mike, are we still reserving spots by sending you in game mail? or can we leave a message here?
Also, how many bosses do we have to clear before finally reaching mr. rag at the end?

Speaking for the "Married w/ Children" players, this type of planned activities goes a long way in "spousal negotiations".

Glad the Wed. is a good deal. Basically, I don't really want people signing up until AFTER we've finished the 2nd run each week. Then mail me in forums or in game, and it's going to be *generally* first-come first-served by class.
As far as Rag goes, we have to
a) Learn and become efficient with Lucifron, Magmadar, Gehennas, Garr, Baron Geddon, Shazzrah, Sulfuron Harbinger and Golemagg the Incinerator.
b) While we accomplish A, at least 8 of our players must gain the appropriate rep/questage with the Hydraxian Waterlords to summon Majordomo Executus.
c) Once we summon Majordomo Executus, we more or less are one kill from summoning Ragnaros and takin' the big guy on.
Before we take Rag, we'll probably work Ony into our system. So we have a long way to go before Rag. The focus now is on Geddon and Shazzrah. After we have them down pat, the focus is Golemagg and Sulfuron. While we're workin' on Golemagg and Sulfuron, we'll probably start working on Onyxia.
After Gole/Sulf/Ony are down, it won't be long before the Majordomo bites it, and then we ge to work on Rag. I predict 2-4 months before we kill Rag, at a safe bet honest estimate. One never knows, though, we have a lot of momentum right now.

Another glaring omission in the chronology in actually attempting Ragnaros is actually gearing the guild's vital components (rogues/tanks/frontline casters) in fire resistance gear. There is a easy mode way around this to a certain degree but I don't see a serious attempt for quite some time due to the need to farm the core out for crafting materials, and for people to complete resilience librams.
Did I mention that people need to complete librams.
Librams.
yes
the librams.
for the fire resistance.
I believe I mentioned them.

Just adding another /cheer to the schedule.
I just hope this thread doesn't make any young 'uns in the Guild nervous just how many married-with-kids folks are sitting there mashing buttons and pretending to be elves. But yes, Mrs. Winsome is delighted to have a firm schedule of when her good-for-nuthin' husband is pretending to be a girl who fights lava dogs.

Due to the fact that Ony/Rag are far in the distance, the need to gear us up with FR gear is not an immediate concern, however maybe it is more pressing than I/we think.
When Ony time comes, if we aren't geared out, we will have to wait to be geared out. Ony blasts people with a lot of fire damage, and the critical players need to be protected against it.
Resilience librams for sure. This does include me; I've done none yet (har?).

In full FR gear (non-buffed):
132 FR
4339 HP
410 DEF
7003 AC
Not stellar, but add buffs and potions i'm good 2 go. I'm probably going to look for a higher FR ring and to do the Smokey Quest now for Cana as that is the only thing i can obtain less Dark Iron Gear.
Libram of Reslience is not terrbily hard, just a pain in the butt to have to go into BRD for the Coffer room.
Other easy ways to get up in FR is simple Green Rings. I have seen +1X FR rings for as low as 1g.
FR Cape is another easy one. I just did this quest on my rogue:

If you want to see my FR stuff you can snoop around in my bags and bank:
http://www.wowrankings.com/viewb.htm?id=38878
For this cape: http://www.thottbot.com/?i=19568
Just put a +7 FR cape and there is +17 FR right there
Libram Resilience head = +20
Libram Resilience legs = +20
Smokey's cape w/ enchant = +17
Ring 01 = +13
Ring 02 = + 12
Drakefire Amulet (needed for onyxia anyway) = +15
that's +97 FR without even really working hard.
Add in your class trinket from DM (+10) Ward of Elements (+8)
Right there is +115 FR unbuffed.
Seal of Ascention is +10 FR

Right now with a few green plate pieces, a +7 FR on my +15 defense cape, 1 FR+20 ring, and some other random stuff, I'm up to 185 FR unbuffed w/out sacrificing 425 Defense.
Get a few more D.I. Plate pieces made, Resilience librams on head and (boots or legs?) and I'll be up to 250-ish in no time with 425 defense and solid stamina. Pallie buff and Rag/ony ftw.

Would like to add the fact that it's possible to get a +85/87 FR (Can't remember exactly) buff from LBRS. We have our priests mind control one of the mobs there and use their own spells to buff our raid with the +87 FR buff.
Also the Darkmoon faerie gives a variety of buffs, one of them being +10% to all resistances.
Oh and btw, I like this smiley

Hi All,
I am looking to sign up for this coming Wednesday. I don't see a sign-up thread, per se, and hope one of you can direct me.
Thanks,

Just to let you know guys that in VE we are using a really cool add-on called Group Calendar. Its an in-game raid signup tool. It takes 10 secs to schedule any runs. Here is the link if you wanna check it out: http://ui.worldofwar.net/ui.php?id=1675
Some screenshots of the add-on for lazy heroes:

People can signup by opening the add-on and by clicking on any event.
All you have to do is click the radio buttons "Yes" or "No".
