Hello HotC

(please note: I will in no way try to duplicate Cana's introduction/application, that thing is a friggen work of art)

I wanted to take some of your forum space to introduce myself. I had joined the Spartans a few months ago as a level 60, hoping they would be the guild to get me to the next level in WoW. I believe in what Unity is doing but as a new father my WoW time is precious. Asking "the boss" (my wife) to go on raids then have them disbanded before trying was making baby Nief cry. So a few weeks ago I started poking around to more "raid" oriented guilds. I looked into a few but never formally applied, so I kind of stopped playing my Lock for a bit and made an alt on a PvP server.

Since many of my friends that left Spartans or WoW all together have gone I decided it was time to move on. By Cana and Marcus joining you, it made me look your way to see what HotC was about. So Mike invited me to go on the MC trash run last night, and I was very impressed. I like not only the fact that you could joke around and have fun but then quickly switch into serious mode prior to a pull.

So as it happenes it seems I have instanced with some of your officers/members in the past, and somehow I have a good reputation. (despite what Goenitz says I am never /oom)

So here is a quick run down of my Character

Name: Niefankazz
Class: Warlock (affliction speced)
Level: 60
Professions: 300 mining, 300 first aid, 260 tailoring (was a 315 engineer)
Former Guilds: Slayers of the Ages, Spartans
Completed goals: Full Dreadmist set, Epic Mount, Attuned to MC/BWL, Onyxia Keyed

Current Project: I am currently crafting a Robe of the Void to start building a complete +shadow/magical damage set.

Future Goals: Full Felheart set, kill Onyxia, explore the entire MC/BWL, explore Zul Gurub and build that set.

What I can offer:

I am in no way an "official expert" on the Warlock class, but I have been around a bit and can offer advice for up and coming Locks. I know it can be a difficult class to play to 60.

I have been on countless end game raids and will be glad to help up and coming members run these instances. ie (Scholo/Strath/DM/LBRS/UBRS)

I would be glad to help any current or upcoming Locks get their epic mounts. Despite what people say it is not free, and can be very difficult to get a group to do the quests. I was in a very small guild when I got mine and had to rely on PuG's to do DM West...after the 10th time the steed was mine. So I know DM West and the mount quest like the back of my hand.

My playing style:

Overall I am casual player that knows when to have fun and when to be serious. There are times when I just can not run instances after work on week nights, but on weekends my playing time is very generous. With the implemantation of a consistent schedule "the boss" has agreed that I will be able to do end game raids on a consitent basis with the proper notice. So as for showing up on time and staying the whole time there is no doubt I will be able to.

I look forward to talking to some of you ingame tonight.

Thanks for your time

Wonderful post Nief ... due to our #'s, intro/application posts like this are likely to become a requirement, and yours and Cana's should become models to follow after.

There was no need for a /end wall of text unless it was written like that :P
