My pc fries middle of september, same day i start work, no signal

due to shitty office hours and 30min call waiting times, & me working same shifts as their hardware dept it takes till the start of november end of october to arrange a courriour to pickup my pc, since they dont want to send me new hardware for a self install since i had a video problem 2 months prior to the september fault, they take 10 days form couriour pickup to fix the machine, give it a 48hr testing period, then ti takes nearly a week for them to contact me and make arangements for delivery

i get pc today, al excited, hl2 has been mocking me and my 400mhz voodoo 3 ever since it arrived, i donwloaded eve on this machine wher ei have ym files stored, have the hard drive in my new repaired machine, theyve put in a new better mboard, a fast usb card thingy in to compliment the firewire, a new video card which looks snazzy tho im not sure the spec until i boot it up...

twin dvi and 1 svideo output, i check the mboard ports at the back, no analog vga there... they know i have a 17" crt vga monite,r i bought it form them as a package

ive sent them a faulty pc with no signal, theyve sent me back a new and improved pc with no signal...

and they dont open till tomorrow morning

so i ahve to stay on hold for 30min, if im not swapped aorund their switchboards the entire time and they end up promising some1 will call me back, plus i work tomorrow

they owe me a vid card, moniter or dvi to vga adaptor, which i doubt will arrive till monday at the very earliest, and they removed my spare firewire card...

i got a gr8 pc for a gr8 price when i got it, and even now they cant beat the value the gaming machine i bought last time because i was thinking of buying a 2nd...

trust me
i spent 6 hours (im not exagerating) over the phone with MS tech support asking them why the hell "drivers.cab" wouldnt copy from the freakin windows xp cd. they sent me out a new one just in case it was a scratch, i told them i didnt look serious, but they insisted. guess who was right? me. and so i still had a nonfunctional comp. i ended up fixing it myself with my "last resort" plan. what i need to do is start with the "last resort" plan from here on out, because my last 3 major issues (we're talking windows isnt booting up or is extremely slow) ended up on that plan
btw! tech support people in Nova Scotia are awesome! i love you guys!

the parts are all name brand, and top spec, its just they are peices of shit for phone calls, times of work, and fucking thing sup like they sent me my pc, the hd wasnt plugged in, or they send me new card with duel dvi 1xsvinstead of 1 dvi and a vga 1xsv and dont include the dvi->vga adaptor

omg... i delivvered my pc to some fucking support whores... and huewss what? yes they did fix my pc... but i got it back without motherboard driver, no grahox driver... no fucking drivers... and they had clocked my CPU don 1ghz... im gonna call them soon and shoot them... if they had dione that to a guy who didnt had so much knowledge in Computers... he would have been fucked

drivers are generally available by dl over the net, so just go that way, get new drivers, and save yourself from getting all worked up over nothing.

what the fuck is it with 3rd party nvidia chipset cards, this pos is running windows fine, but on manufacturers, new manu, and new nvidia drives it crashes the system when launching the game

plus it flickers about 10 times when loading windohs

when i bought ym pc they hadnt plugged the hd in, easily fixed

the vid card poped, they sent a new 1

it did a 2nd time, they replaced th emboard and card, which took well over a month

im pretty sure they sent it back with 333mhz ram not 400 which im gonna phone about

they sent a video out that a standard svideo for tv's cant connect to

they sent it out with no dvi to vga connector

and now the card wont run games...

they offered me an fx 5500 256mb to replace my 256mb fx 5600

guess what i told them...

so now theyre sending me an fx 5900 now, and aparantly it'll be here tomorrow

i'll have to poke in the bios to make the machine run on the ram frequencey of 400mhz and not the cpu 333mhz, wonder if i blow it up, mabye i'll wait till i get the new card 1st heh

Edit: its the kind of problems myself and other people have been having with the "very good when its working" fx 5600 that they dont make them anymore, they make the old 5200's and the 5900's but not the 5600 lol

and aside from some crashes and frequent Windows issues It runs perfectly fine.

The worst ever comp. company HAD to be Gateway.. I had a machine of theirs. Left for a week on the beach, came back and it didn't boot up. (This is my 2nd Gateway machine, they're both crap. Kept crashing and shit)..

So I wait about 4 hours on tech support (no lie) and I have to send it in. Apparently their machines were so much crap and they had to much crap to fix it took a MONTH for them to even look at my comp. And when they did..
