Its not legal to smoke weed, DO NOT GET CAUGHT, and Greek prisions aint a nice place believe me. Greek law makes no distinction between hard and soft drugs so be warned its 2-5 years. Often they will just take it off you and hold you over night, but not always, often it will get you deported or worse, smoking weed is fairly prevalent in Greek culture but I have always found it quite hard to get hold of unless you are in a resort.
The legal drinking age is 18, however bar owners will turn a blind eye to younger people if they do not cause any trouble and/or are acompaied by their parents. I see you are 16 if you do not look too young you should be fine, just behave yourself.
Bewarned though the Greek authorities are far more likely to punish you if you are British than if you are from anywhere else, we are just so much trouble everywhere we go lol :oD
Trust me I am part Greek! :oP
For the geographically challenged American in the thread this is where corfu is in relation to Greece

and here is where Greece is in relation to the rest of Europe

And here is where Europe is in relation to America

(the United states is part of North America, that does not just refere to the northern States BTW ;) lol )

You know an absurd percentage of American students cannot locate the U.S. on a world map.

The average European probably has no freakin' clue where the North American, African, Asian, Australian or South American counterpart to Corfu is. The fact that Polaris not knowing led to some assumption about Americans = the following response.
Goddamned ignorant Europeans.

If you've watched Team America ...
"Cairo, Egypt ... X miles from America"
"Pyongyang, North Korea ... X miles from America"
"Panama Canal, Panama ... X miles from America"

Who the fuck cares about some tiny ass island off of greece?
Stupid fucking euros, go masterbate over your pathetic assumed superiority. If you guys are so much smarter than us, how come we fucking own your bitch asses?

You know an absurd percentage of American students cannot locate the U.S. on a world map.
You have proof of this? Because I don't believe that one bit.
Every elementary school around here requires you to learn the names, location, and capital of every state. Some of the "course" involves very large maps, which shows the layout of NA. Just by that shape alone they can identify it easily on a world map (and they will see it many, many times). Then, all the middle schools in the district send you through a course named something along the lines of (world geography and something else I can't remember atm), I remember there being 2 such courses required in my school (6th and 7th). The main focus being identifying the various countries and continents, the later course focused a little more on history.
I can see people messing up on foreign countries, especially smaller ones (such as greece, and this little island off the coast). But stuff like NA/Mexico/Canada/GB nearly every american should be able to get, easily.
Hell even people who dropped out of school for some reason at an early age get to see the national map daily on the news.

I know where Kent Island is, i also know wher the bay is that it is situated in Chesepeake Bay. But no of course i nor i doubt any one else ere knows the location of every island in the world. It was a fucking joke, quite obviously.
However the comments were ment in jest, but its very interesting to note the over reactions of the Americans. Points and laughs @ MVB
lol I used the wording i did because i thought that everyone would notice that i was making refrence to team america.
P.S. Drunk we do not think we are superior, we simply are, its a fact based on all avaliable evidence. (for MVB, I am also joking here)
The fact that MVB not knowing where to locate his homour chip has leading him to make his comments about Europeans = the following response.
Fucking homourless American assholes
(PS the chip is up your ass why not reach up their and find it).
