It looks to me to be the same problem as I had with EVE online origionally.

The game uses mip mapping for text characters. And your gfx card is set to low quality mipmaps. This is ok for speeding up your games, but lowers the quality of the graphics.

So, you need to go to advanced display properties. What card do you have?

If its a nvidia card, right click on your desktop. Go to Properties. Then The settings tab, and the advanced button.
Then you want the nvidia tab, and the directx settings, and mipmap set to high quality.

Wait a second... does not DOW use OpenGL and not DX? :/ Oops... um... try your gfx card settings. Tell use what options you have.

Have you tried a reinstall?

What screen?

It seems its not displaying in its native resolution... What are these set to? Any overrides in the nvidia resolution/refresh properties?

I think its an aspect ratio problem, try adjusting the res you are playing dow in and see if it fixes.
