One more reason PvE is actually probably better overall for PvP.

I love the system, it would be great for PvP servers aswell MVB... If people took the time to come up with them stratagys, good for them, more ownage items for them :)

Lama, in a sever where everyone is flagged for pvp, groups of 60's can just go farm people 5 levels lower for basically free honor.

Should be enough to convince most rational individuals that the devs for WoW pvp are not morons who can't see potential flaws. Special attention paid to willingness to add dishonorable kill penalties if farming n00bs gets too severe.

This is one part that I took from what MVB posted.
'For instance, we track repeat kills, and the system will reward you less and less honor with each successive kill of the same opponent on the same day. You'll gain full points for your first kill, but you get far less points with each kill after that, to the point were you will eventually get zero if you continue to prey on that player.'
In my honest opinion no one has a clue how this will turn out till it happens. In my experience Devs, make changes thinking players will act one way, and the players usually act completely opposhit

That honour system looks like a pretty good idea. I read everything on that link mvb, and now I am having second thoughts.

No, the honor system looks like the most ill concieved idea ever.
Lets say you and me fight 100 times. If you kill me 99 times, but I kill you once, I come out having gained something, and lost nothing.

If you fight me in Homeworld 2 100 times, and I kill you once, and you kill me 99 times, this is what has happened ...
You've killed MVB 99 times, and gained whatever respect is deserved from that, and I've killed you once out of 100 times, and gained whatever relative respect is deserved from that.
In WoW, you've gained 99 kills worth of honor, and I've gained 1 kill worth.
You never complained about not having physical rewards for kills or penalties for deaths in HW2, so why complain here?

Thats the whole point. You on get 'rewards" for hw2. But u do for WoW. But if u win 1 out of100 times, u get the same reward as if u won 1 out of 1 tim.es

He's in WoW, in our guild.
PS Yeldarb < MVB in duels
Altho his lag was apparently to blame.

Anyone who hangs out in IF and can see yellow text knows that Yeldarb wins a lot of duels.
T'would be nice to see MVB give it a go.

I killed him twice in a row yesterday; died first time, but that was b/c I Was on the phone and didn't even swing at him.
Dueling is teh gay, IMO. RTS micro gives me the apparent ability to spend all my time behind my targets, and kill them. AE spells and mages might have more success against me; I honestly don't do it enough to know; maybe when I hit 60.

Meh, im fine agaisnt anything that isnt a pally as long as there are no other people dueling, if i get some good latency and you catch me we will have to go again, that night i had 1200 latency and about 20 other ppl were dueling, TeH SuXoRz. Lards right tho, if you hang in IF you will be amazed at how fast i kill most ppl... took down a lvl 51 druid takin 0 damage and i ALMOST beat a lvl 60 warlock in STV (Undead), miss clicked zerk rage and i was feared away from a 75 rage execute :(
Edit: Lvl 46 gave me a new sunder armour, its totaly owange now :)
IMO Pallys sheilds need to stop dispelling all debuffs (e.g Deepwounds, sunder armour, demorilising shout.) I have a new tatic i think might work tho, when they use their sheild i will use intim shout and it might stun them, doubt it tho but its worth a try.
