View Full Version : Stats reset!

Relic told us that it would be a competitive ladder reset, not a total stats reset. As evident by the comments in the thread regarding the reset, the result of the vote would be different had Relic worded the question closer to their true intent, instead of misleading voters, or worse, concluding that an overwhelming vote for a competitive ladder reset meant that people wanted a full stats reset.
Not happy, Jan.

Meh, it just means you have to try harder. Besides for all we know there isnt a way to only erase one set of stats *laughs knowing this isnt the case and they were just lazy or didnt care* Oh well guess i'll have to earn those 4 stars back *sighs*

If you look at the chat in the game, it seems a lot of people had no idea about it and are quite miffed.
I can only hope Relic doesn't plan on full resets for each patch they release, because people will start getting sick of seeing their hard work erased =/

You cant tell me with over month of imbalances that a good portion of the wins by most players before the last week or two since relic said ya they are super bugged werenot using those to inflate their scores. I'm a little annoyed they didnt do it like they did in beta where they simple erased the ladder scores and the % and left the wins there effectively setting the win % to 0 and making the wins and losses the basis point. But i wager they also wanted to whipe out the stars due to all the inflated bug using players.

THere are still imbalances and the ability to log in first 2 minutes. So it will still continue. Until they fix those stats dont matter.

The two minute thing is nothing really. In comparison to the other BUGs and ABUSEs that were seen in 1.01. The fact of the matter is if you quit in the 2minute big deal you dont get a win and you get a disconnect. Similar situations exist in almost any game where there is a minute time window where someone can drop without causing the team to gain an automatic loss. 2 minutes isnt allot of time to decide if the game is wasted depending on your allies. More often then not its someone does something stupid and they quit or they messed up their start so they quit. If I am wrong someone correct me :p

Mvb Says you dont get a disconnect either. In 1st 2 minutes. If you are a good player and do a rush every gmae you play and realize you cant win you quite no harm to record. 1 theoretically could play a perfect record doing that.

In 1st 2 minutes you get nothing, at least nothing on your automatch record. If you d/c after 2 minutes, you still lose points automatch-wise, even if you genuinely d/c'ed, but before hand you get nothing lost, so you can hard rush in the first 2 minutes (this happens a lot with cheapshot marine players) and if your rush clearly is succeeding, stay, if it's looking like it might struggle, just drop. Marine players at the top of the ladder will often instadrop if they see an ork, saving them losses and what-not.
