"badges/banner messed up" problem

ok here is the prob, first I dl-ed one of forsakens jpg badges, I changed them into uncompressed 24 bit tga files and also did the alpha channel stuff (using psp8) it appeared and I could use it, but I wanted a new batch so I deleted the file (don't ask why) and I created my own badge. But somehow it won't appear in the army paint preview. I really have no clue what to do. The only custom badge I see is a blanked badge. But I never created that one.

Anyone got any idea??

Sounds like an alpha problem.

Its 32 bit tga files. Not 24. :P

Edit:

For your problem: Select what you need, and THEN make the Alpha channel (load channle from slection). If you had an alpha chan. before you made a change to the image, it might not work correctly.

No, it can't be the alpha channel problem, I am sure of that. I did it right and it is 24 bit ilia. But I also have 3 differed badges imported. I also copied an old one from HW2 which was always working, but this one won't show up in the preview either.

You also need to ensure that it is the correct size. If it is outside the size dimensions for banner/badge it will not display.

Yea, it's not the fact that it's 24bit.

It's because your thing is the wrong size.

Make sure that you copied the file into the "Badges" Folder and not into the "Banners" one.

Also, make sure that "constrained proportions" is off ;)

Otherwise, this is just plain strange...

Edit: And it's 32 bit. For me, at least. :-p

mine are 24 bit and they work perfectly. for a while my banners didnt show but my badges would. banners are different dimensions than badges.

banners - 64x96
badges - 64x64 i believe.... not sure on that one, so dont take those numbers to heart.

Banners = H: 96, W: 64.

Badges = 64x64

Are you sure all your PS settings are correct? (like RGB mode, for instance, etc.)

well there should be something of an image, but there is just nothing, it's like the badge directory got renamed or something. but it isn't I did not know the banner dimension so I will try that out later.
