If you find Kang just sell it. You can get a comparable blue ~45 from Maraudon.

And there are much much much better choices in your 50s. So you will be using Kang for only a few levels, losing out on all the gold.

Kang is the best axe because you dont have to go kill lvl 60 elites to get it, its droped by creatures you will be training on while you actualy need the axe, not to mension if you get it at 44 you will be unstoppable because of its slow speed and massive DoT proc.

Thats a list of all the axes that come close to being better than kang, you will find the nicker and dreadforge retaliator are better than kang but they are BoP from lvl 60 creeps and the brain hacker is alos dropped from lvl 60 elites... making kang the best axe.

Never rely on a proc for a weapon.

You can easily get a few hundred gold out of it, and use a weapon with similar dps until you get higher. Your argument that "they are dropped from lvl 60 elites" is flawed. Brain Hacker dropped for me from a lvl 57 non elite in EP.

The other higher lvl axes that are BOP drop from end game instances (yes, elites). But, you will be running those end game instances hundreds and hundreds of times anyway. You are forced to, to complete quests, to get better loot, to get your class set, and to get your Onyxia key. Without better loot, you will not even be able to compete in MC, or PvP.

You will get many, many opportunities at those end game axes, and you will quickly outgrow Kang.

BTW, Arcanite Reaper is the best hands down. Take the few hundred gold you can get from kang and save up a few hundred more, then buy it when you hit 58.

Lol, took a shot at Kang today, borrowed almost all of everyones gold only to be outbid 4 times, some dumbass ended up paying 130gp for it. Going for the executioners cleave (Rare). Should be about 20gp with a DPS of 43 and a +1% chance to hit (<3 for warriors!). I was totaly obsessing over kang today aswell, i got everyone online yelling out 'KANG!!!" lol, it was funny.

Kang was had its time, and now its over... ive moved on :)

You will not be in those middle levels long, get higher up and raid Blackrock Depths. Get a http://www.thottbot.com/index.cgi?i=8486. Very easy to get in 10 man, doable in 5. :)
