When i first got WoW i had a problem with that, i just waited a few hours... they seemed to be the longest EVER!

I remember reading that some of the WoW network traffic uses certain ports, and thatif they go through a router and aren't open, it takes forever. This was for the patching process, but it wouldn't surprise me if that was your trouble. As far as for first impressions.... when we got the game, the weeks after were filled with authentication delays, realm crashes, class nerfs, ultra lag, and stuff. and we all still play cause WoW rocks.

LOL.... this is bad. Spend 2 days on WOW and got a lvl 15 dwarfen hunter now. with a zerglin and a bear. got some mechanich skills (110) and some mining (86??). I am running trough some world, but no clue where I can find others of you. I can't remember the name but BIT said to go there like 1 month ago.

meh - i dunno, neverheard of that. Join Daggerspine as a horde race and play with me, black, papa, furious and foree or join another server and you wont be able to. up2u.

Spulm you will learn that Blizzard is so-so at keeping their servers up or having useful accurate informationavailable for you to interpret this case. If you log in and are presented with a server list, instead of connecting to your characters on Skullsplitter, that means that Skullsplitter is probably down.

That said, you'll probably have more fun if you go with Daggerspine Horde for now, but you can easily do both and play your alliance hunter when one or the other server is down.

well, I kinda dislike all the horde races. So I will stick with the Alliance for now. I will later join an other server and switch my dwarf to that one, since I heard they will allow you to switch sooner or later. But the server won't be daggerspine as well, I found some friends in RL who also play this game. DOH..

When they switch to connecting EU and US, come to our server and join the TLSC alliance guild. It's much fun, and has 0 of the bs from the forums.
