reposting this to get some new attention , i am willing to make a effort for the command but i need to know if anyone is really intending to come .
i really , really want a meet but if anybody has a better idea plz post it .

if you arent planning on comming or cant be bothered go post in another thread , mods i am counting on you.

3. actually travel there ( i dont want to invest time and money just to meet two peeps )

i am going to hold a TLSC BBQ on sat 9 july 2005 in Belgium , Limburg .

every member who is 16 or above is invited ( sorry guys -16 , thats the drinking limit in belgium )

the date can be adjusted so more people can actually make it .

you are all welcome i will spring for the food and drinks but i will be asking for a donation . if you are still in college or don t have a job contribute what you can and seems fair, the workingclass are asked to be generous ;)

i only have one guestroom but i do have a garden which can hold 10 tents easily . the cops won t be a problem my only close neighbour is really old and rather deaf . i am sure i can work something out with the other neighbour .


in the unlikely event a american is joining the bbq i am willing to come pick you up at the national airport .
if you are comming with the train i will come pick you up at the regional trainstation ( 25km away )

you could make it a weekend Belgium ( camping opens fryday 20.00 ) the only thing my wife asks is to be out of our garden by sunday 20.00h , clean up the shower after you used it and don t expect food (except for the bbq ;) )

i truly hope some members are going to take me up on my offer .

I'm not back in work until the 11th of July so me and the missus are up for ending our anniversary holiday with a trip to belgium. Kids not included. We'll get rid of em for the weekend.

i ve been very busy here , my wife agreed with the bbq for you guys if i build her a garden terras in wood . its finished now except for the concreet i need to fill up .

no i am no chippy , just a DIY nut without free choice ;)

we have 2 single beds that we can assemble in the garage but we have also 3 sofa's where you can crash . the first 7 persons to confirm will have no problem finding a place to sleep , if more come they ll have to camp in the garden .

the invitation was intended for members but peeps like 4e and apoc are still included ( dont worry ill put you on the list ;) - its not like i have a big "bubba" guarding the front door )

be carefull if you take the train from the dam to antwerp , it gets checked since the french use it alot to go shopping .

i wouldnt advise you bringing your pc , my computer will only be used asa jukebox that night . the one time i have you all in the garden , with alcohol and my kids away , i am not going to waste behind the computer.

it will be a good old fashioned belgian bbq - lots of food , lots of beer , option to bob marley or switch to liquor later on - music and alot of fun .i expect alot of confusion with the languagedifference once where hammered but we ll manage .

*note* I may have a problem soon, there's talk at work of a change in rota patterns and holiday changes. A lot's been happening at work recently culminating in the redundancies which will happen at the end of June into the beginning of July. My job is safe but the loss of 30 guys from my department is a major blow. I'll find out soon and if anything changes i'll let you know but for now we're still coming.

OK, I must apologise but I won't be going. With the redundancies at my workplace, the changes to my rota have been severe and I just can't get the time off I wanted. The reason behind this is because (for those who don't know, I work in a printworks) from the last week of June til around September/August, 2 press machines are being removed from the plant and I'm needed to assist in the removal of these house size machines. I really wanted to come for many reasons but I just can't get out of it.

two reasons are:

1 its far cheaper for me to fly there.

its official i am starting my own business , we need to catch up on some crashcourses in brussels, to get a alcohol and tabacco license ,the following days

nothing much is changed except that i ll be a little later on the pick up

i am picking up DJ (airplane) and flo (train) on friday 8th july. i finish work at 16.30 so i am heading there straight after work . since me and my wife have to come from brussels it will at least take me an hour to get there .

my car can hold 5 persons so i could take 3 people back with me , if M can hitch a ride from maddie we are all set .

i could drop off the wife at home first but then my eta will be about 21h in eindhoven .

maybe pops , dj , flo and spullie should arrange a meeting point so i can do the collect at one location .

eindhoven has a great pub called "de bakkerij" and a descent irish pub so i would suggest meeting there , or at the trainstation ( sorry dj its easier for you to find your way downtown then to send three people to the airport )

yeah the airport is out of town, and is very very small, plus its closed alot of the time lol the train station is right in the center and very hard to miss as it also serves as the bus station

lol well another change of plans for me, looking at the times of the flights and the times of the trains in the UK going to and from stansted a) will not be cheaper, even though the flights are very cheap b) is a lot more probamatic getting back home on sunday

i was ,earlier then expected , called up to start my training in brussels .
i have to get up at 430 in the morning to get there in time , it only is a one hour drive but the trafficjams are impossible ( 3 hours to get home )

luckily my crash course finishes the 8th of july , so ill race to eindhoven when i am allowed to leave around 16.30 . normally its a one hour drive back home and another to get to eindhoven so if i dont get any trafficjams ill be in eindhoven trainstation around 1900. but if i get any trafficjams i could be closer to 21-22h so i suggest you guys meet up in a pub or something and wait there untill we come to get you .

i ll do my best to get there asap but getting out the capital of europe on a friday is :banana::banana::banana:
