Event Game 3 Reminder - Information

Looks like this one is going to be popular, and sadly it's only a 6 player map... so the 1st 6 to get in will be the ones that play. I'll reserve a slot for MVB for the sake of his mini-game, but for anyone else, I can't promise anything.

The game -will- be up by 7pm CST... last time I hosted 30 minutes early, I might do the same this time. If you want in badly enough, show up early and watch the join game page. However, even if the game fills up before 7pm CST, I will not launch before 7pm sharp. So keep that in mind if you decide to come early, please don't bitch and complain about it, because I won't start before 7pm. I want to keep to everything said and posted in my forums, because the second the rules start to slip someones going to break one in game. And that ruins the whole event. :) So if you come early, please just be patient.

It will be titled TLSC EVENT GAME 3!! and the password is posted in the private discussions forum.

I really hate to leave anyone out, so I -do- plan to host a follow up Attackers and Defenders game this following Friday at the same time. So if you miss the first one, see if you can make Friday's game. I think it'll be fun to have 2 replays of the same game. :D See how different people handle the different situations.

DONT FORGET THAT SMURF NAMES ARE REQUIRED!!

I don't want any bad feelings over these games, they're for fun... we learn more about certain units when they're taken out of normal game context, but they're mostly just for fun. If you lose an event game it don't mean a damn thing. :)

In addition to Mistress's Main Game, I'll be hosting EACH time she does one of these a "minigame" of my own.

I will set my Smurf name as the Scientific name of an aquatic animal of some kind. ANY player in the game may look up and write up WHAT the creature is. It WILL be an animal I have personally worked with in the past at some point.
Here's what I want;
Classification -- not TOO complex; Kingdom/Phylum/Family/Genus/Species ... sometimes I may use a name FOR a family or genus, in which case you don't need genus and/or species

Common Name -- the most frequently used one
Maximum Size -- in inches and feet (or just inches if it is under 1 foot, if I use a group of animals and not one specific animal this does NOT apply)
Food type -- Predator/Herbivore/Omnivore

If 2 people get all of these right, bonus points and tiebreakers will be awarded based upon BONUS ANSWERS
this means any kind of cool extra information about the animal, from OTHER common names, to neat little fun facts, the location of their endemic habitat in the world, threats to the animal from the human or outside world, etc.

PRIZES WILL BE AWARDED EACH WEEK TO THE WINNER! Usually this prize will be EITHER a small piece of TLSC merchandise or a "custom" forum title of some kind, or a BUMP in Forsaken's signature request list, or something of the sort (yes fors, a bump up in your request list).

SOMETIMES the prize will be something REALLY annoying, like having your post count reset. HOWEVER, sometimes the prize will be TRULY AWESOME, like a FREE 50 DOLLAR GAME OF CHOICE. Obviously the nicest and worst prizes will be extremely rare, and completely random. I will choose the prize out of a hat, and it will be awarded regardless of preference for individuals.

You MUST provide a copy of the game recording if you win, to PROVE that you were at the game, and aren't just trying to pretend you were due to the fact that we use smurf names. SO if you play in this game, SAVE THE RECORDING!

This will make you all smarter, will earn some of you awesomely awesome prizes, and is my own little fun way of getting a personal kick out of things.

This event made me sad. :(

As many people responded we only ended up with 5 showing up, and didn't launch until after 7:30 because we had to beg everyone on everyone's MSN/AIM/YAHOO lists. MightyDCW ended up showing up, though he hadn't played in a long, long time. We had to tell him what a slagg was. lol

Thank everyone that showed up for showing, and being patient, though. And thank you, Mighty, you were a good sport. Needless to say, because of balancing teams, I had to switch to defender even though I wanted attacker, I forgot to change from SM to Chaos, and made -many- mistakes about how to go about the game.

1.) 10 minutes wasn't enough.
2.) Normal requisition wasn't enough.
3.) Quietus' massed predators and oblits were horrifying.

Needless to say the defense didn't have a prayer. lol I'll address this problem for friday, I hope we can have a full house, this time. Thank you, again, Mighty for giving us a hand.
