Change of plan.

After I got booted from Synergy for not being lvl 20+, Stats abandoned them too. We've decided to try to join Khaos Gate. All TLSC who want to guild with us, should also join KG.

It is still daggerspine Horde, we're just affiliating with a less elitist group.

Yeah KHAOS, they rule... pitty the server has no ally noobs to chew up and spit out. I spent 30 mins in ashenvale to kill 2 people someone doing an escort quest(lvl19) and someone AKF at the hypogryph master(lvl43). Im level 28, had so much fun BSing the 43 to death... MWAHAHA!

It doesnt matter lard - they wanted high level players. i think they saw it as a sign of being commited to the game... ie: if they wanted to play it, why didnt they buy it on release. and also if they like the game, how come they are not lvl xx by now - they must be inactive etc... I was told Dark was inactive - but seen as i spoke to him every day =/

Anyway - we need to re-group who we have on the server. and get something together/decide what we want to do. Ughlar and a few other truely quality players joined khaos gate and i doubt we'd be able to coax them back out which is a shame - but im not sure it would be right to either coz ~KG seem like a good bunch.

Synergy are top guild atm exp wise and have the only two lvl 60 players on the server but i'm not sure how there elitest attitude towards recruitment/membership will take them, they could fail or they might end up like FL/7th was on HW. We'll see.

well whatev. There's not much advantage to powerleveling to 60 except for ganking and griefing, and at that rate you'll have played the game out in a month.

right my first n00b question, as a mage i am a weapons retard, i can only use cloth armour, tasty my knitted shield yea scum, eeeeek they have cast a kitten to unravel my evil plan. well me and dark are level 30 on dagger spine - it is also nice and stable and we have a few regular qwuesters, also we are horde. and our server is pvp (stfu drunkn00b) which is fun... by addy do you mean blackadder?

as a mage - everything you equip do it for the stats and not the armour - you dont want to get up close - your primary wepon(apart from your spells) is your wand for instant cast spells

I know, I Know, i do not know why the others all moved i know they started out on daggerspine, and then they moved i was off line at the time and do not know the reasons, I think people where having trouble getting on, but i am not even 33% sure about that, ill ask tonight.

The radical solution would be pick a new server and all migrate there and start again.

normal - you cant attack another player unless they attack an npc in a town etc. and they cant attack you unless you unless you attack them...

pvp you can attack players of the opposite side in ur own or contested territory - but not in there territory unless they attack you first. its more fun - it is flat out wrong NOT to attack alliance on sight imo, thewy all love being ganked and eaten by teh stats

I started a horde character on Daggerspine quite happily. However, Skunky wanted to be on Dreanor because of his latency so I gave up my level 10 warlock and started again when he did (he also wanted alliance). My financee Jo also wanted to be an elf, so I had no choice and had to leave my undead horde and start a gnome.

My problem now is that Jo doesnt have much time to play and doesnt want to start another character. I dont really want to have 2 characters at once as I will have to split my time. I guess I could try. If I started again Id have an undead shadow priest.

Ill do it on one condition. That we all get together and start a TLSC only guild :) That'd rock my socks

This wont work if you split your time, or if anyone stays behind, if we are going to do this it is all or nothing.

Every one plays different hours, how can we stop peeps being realistically left behind? I am willing to start another character and I believe she can be swayed. She aint happy about it tho, and neither am I really. My level 22 took me about 2 weeks grrrrrrrrrrr

And im not happoy about it either. i have a level 31, with shed loads of cash, the best equipment, quest mates i trust. engeneering at 200, mining at 150.... We have started these characters now anyway, got our feet in the door. If you want to keep your level 31, I dont see a problem with that to be honest, as long as we are in the same server.

We are keeping those two undead characters and going with em.

Despite whatall's said about pvp server, the pvp on PvE is, IMO, just as cool, and free of random-ganking.

There are some aspects of PvP that are better on a PvP server than PvE server and and some that are better on PvE.

On a PvP server you can get randomly ganked by someone 20 lvls higher than you (Tureshot is gay) but when there is a raid going on you dont have rogues who arnt flagged running into the middle of your group and 2 hitting your mages while there is nothing you can do about it untill its too late. After experiancing a PvP server ive decided PvE is the best to go :)

There were some cool fights at the arena in STV not long ago (Mosly allys killing eachother) and Battlegrounds > PvP. I almost killed a lvl 60 warlock in STV when he was flagged, but i missclick zerk rage and was feared away from a 75 rage execute :(

Can Mages learn new tricks? I currently can not use armour (can use cloth) or weapons (can use a staff only) i have some really good armour, well good for me its veteran armour which 180 armour points, however i need to learn leather is thgis possible? And i want to use the bastard sword of Tiger that i have collected on my travels.

PS what are cast type in horde?

So has everyone started new charactures in Daggerspine? Or are some keeping their old ones?

If people are sticking with their old ones theres no point me changing server, i will be miles behind and as was demonstrated the other night with Black, if the monsters are more that 4 or 5 levels above you, cast types do nothing as the monsters just resist, I wasted most of a night making my way back to Stormwind after Black lead me off to elf land, it almost made me quit playing for good as dieing 50001083297549864 times for not 1 point of experience is very very annoying plus i was totally lost, so i would not be able to quest with you so whats the point

I don't have a paladin, but they can tank, it's a matter of how the aggro is managed. Doing high damage to a mob obviously is a viable way. I usually pull then fade, and the paladin will get the aggro easily. Somebody else has to pull for the paladin for maximum safety.

The other thing is the paladin's auras and blessings really make a Huge difference for casters, and having a back up heal and rez is great.

cast type for horde:

mages smae as before - good class, lots of usefull spells.
preists: shadow/holy - good support, shadow spec does major damage.
shaman: hybrid class, everyone plays as a shaman. cast some good spells and totems also. avergae melee.
warlock - debuffer/pet class. dots and stat reducing, very usefull class - can also transport charecters to them
druids. <3 druids. good casters, and shapeshifting is fun also.

hunters are fucking lame.

I have a lvl 55 mage right now and I love it.

Cloth does suck! Try to get int/stam stats, I used to have int/spirit but i switched to int/stam and it does make a big difference. I was specced with all fire and I used to do huge amount of damage, crit at over 1000 soemtimes, but the drawback with that is huge amount of aggro...so you need a good healer with you at most big fights. I respecced to fire/arcane and got the instant arcane explosion and I still do alot of damage with my fire. Make sure you get some decent enchants on your gear, the best of everything if you can. Make sure if you spec points, you get enough for instant arcane explosion, they are great in instances...but make sure you got a healer healing you the whole time you use it and have some back-up mana potions on you in case you run out of mana mid-battle.

As for weapons, I use mostly staves with int/stam/mana regen stats. Wands are also a must, and if you dont use them, like me, try to get some good stat bonuses to your spells with them...I think i got +14 arcane (thanks lard!). You can also train to use 1H swords and use a offhand orb or something that adds int/stam/spir. I am still looking for a decent sword, the one i have now is crap. I am also trying to get the +9 int enchant on my weapons, but the only person I know that can actually do it will charge me 30g to put it on if I supply ALL the materials..complete rip-off IMO.

I think i will try to respec to ice/arcane, I heard that all the end-bosses are immune to fire.... real bummer cause i love my fire.

Also, I have been trying out some elixiors lately, and I am liking them. I use the ones to add armour or stam, or any stat i need. They really do seem to make a difference.

Wolverene gave me some elixiors of fortitude and I will need him to restock me soon :P

I will be starting a thread soon to articulate this policy, there are some pitfalls in deciding who can 'use' some of the higher end items. A good example is a warrior rolling on blue mail.

Basically, the working definitions are if you don't want somebody to roll on a specific drop, get your concerns aired before the run. I roll daggers that suit me, Allia is rolling 1H swords until she gets one, etc. Also remember, it's a roll, not a ninja so calm the fuck down.

If you are about level 16-20, Westfall is a great area to level up quickly especially in the south, level 17 beasties all over.

Did three levels yesterday.

I have maxed skills in one handed swords now, have a half decent swords, but if anyone comes across a one handed sword that its better than damage 18-25 speed 1.8o, stamania +1 spirit +2, and you are one dreanor, I would be happy to trade i have some very sweet two handed axes one is +5 stamina and +5 agility.

Man i love WoW its cool, I tend to play alone as i find its quicker to level up that way
