Bionic Dolphine! (http://www.bionicdolphin.com/)
Hey, here it is! (took long enouth, the REAL photos are so hard to find.)
http://www.bionicdolphin.com/tom/media/pics/shows/n1top.jpg
(go to shows in the list on the website)
I have seen it on TV in its "swimming".
Unfortunatly, it does not use a real dolphin movement, but has water jets.
But, it is alot like a waterproof jet ski!
It can jump out of the water, and dive for short periods, and looks cool.
[edit] More pics!

Its a bit stubby...

So I would suggest to MVB to give them some hints on how to fit a proper dolphin tail on the craft... but then where would the jet vents go? ;) :ass:

They need to fit a rudder too. Why can't they just mimic what the dolphins do for real? They use their pectoral (I think that's what you call them) fins to "steer," and they use their flippers as a propulsion displace water thingamajigy.
Couldn't they attach motors to the pectoral fins to move em in a certain direction, and pretend to have actual flippers on the tail with water jets coming out that way?

You mean like RoboTuna?
The thing has a fucking boat prop sticking out of its bunghole, it has a way yet to go for realism. Also, mine eyes see a rudder so wtf?

actually, you can't really tell from the picture, because there's no size thing to compare it to.
and ... there are all types of tuna. There are small tuna and big tuna.

actually it's a time honored tradition in fluid mechanics to work with scale models down to about 1/10 even.
I thought the tuna spandex stocking was sex0r, maybe I'm developing a fetish for...
