Text cannot be altered unless it's a valid .PSD extension.
Seeing as this is a .JPG file, and the image is merged, you can't change each layer individually.

It can't be done, Demon.
Not unless you have the original file.

Good work on it not being a valid jpeg file for ps, that made it harder. I left the weird streaky marks on the right as they were. I'd really suggest picking another sig.
http://www.ifsra.co.uk/images/badsig1.jpg - if you want it without the text.

It took 15 minutes, including getting annoyed at the jpeg not being recognised, giving up as to why and screeshotting the web page.
Without bothering to remake the image (I don't normally do "sig" kinds of work in photoshop):
The left/right side of the starbust are spolied, but the top/bottom aren't.
Copy/paste the top, transform 90 degrees, move to rhs, set layer type to lighten to reduce streaking (due to the basic relationship of tones vs. the text you want to get rid of), feather the edge slightly with a soft edged rubber by hand.
Do the same for the lhs, although I used the bottom.
Colour central sphere area it is already (dropper -> brush, but it's basically just white)
Fix anything really noticeable by hand, although it's at a really low resolution anyway and the rhs was already "odd", so I didn't bother to do much.
I don't mean to get pedantic or self righteous, but signatures aren't really "art" - copying and pasting someone else's work is just plagiarism, unless you really do something with it that heavily changes the original image.

most of ours are original, its just in this particular instance demon wanted to be a ghey plagerist.
