Occupation: I'm basically an engineering burnout, went back to grad school to hide from the real world for a while. The higher the education level the more eccentricity and irregular behavior is tolerated, so I am nearly employable again. I'm more of a crackpot pseudoscientist inventor than a real engineer, but I fake it pretty good.

I do applied engineering research for my Doctor of Engineering degree related to managing geologic and ocean sequestration of carbon dioxide with lessened environmental impacts. This is a needed component of the US DOE's Futuregen fossil fuel program, where coal will be 'decarbonized' into hydrogen before it goes into energy generation and the distribution network, creating a significant stream of high pressure carbon dioxide, where my work begins. It has been a good gig so far with fancy travel from time to time, I always get a nice hotel.

In my private life I am building a small brewery, I bought the essentialls last fall and the building will be done this June or July, with the first batch of lager beer shortly thereafter. New developments may turn this project into a distillery, time will tell if this part is successful, which will allow the production of specialty vodkas or whisky.

2 cats, soon to have fish again, love my Acura VTEC as much as 8 years ago when I got it, zoom.
