i pay for 512k cable but they upograded it to 7something for the same price

i used to get 290k max down and 80 average with 30 up but now i get 30 up 340k max down and 110 average down

to be honest if a 56k modem actually gave me 56k per second i wouldnt be on broadband

I know it only gives me, on average, 10K. Thats why you should just pull the trigger and walk away...

At work I have access to a T-1 WAN. At home I have my choice between a cable and a DSL. One's upstairs ones downstairs. Get good games on both. Best games are at work. Shhhhhh don't tell the boss , OMG I am the boss. Hmmmmm...., maniacal giggles. :yech:

At home? Cox cable. Decent speeds. I used to have Roadrunner back in the day.
Now that I'm on the ship? It's satelite, but the main use for the connection is communication between the ships in the battle group and anywhere else they need to talk to, the 'net is just a good side benefit, but it gets split between something like 2,000 terminals. So it boils down to something like a 14.4k connection.
