Trelawny

Hello Heroes of the Command!
First, thank you for taking the time to review my application.
The character I am applying on is Trelawny.
Please see her Armory here: http://www.wowarmory.com/character-sheet.xml?r=Dalaran&cn=Trelawny
About me:
I am a 35 y.o. Registered Dietitian with an MS in Information Mgmt. I currently work as an application analyst for a major healthcare system. I build and implement electronic medical records. We are finishing up rolling the application out to Nursing and Ancillary staff and in development for roll-out to the physicians. Most of the time, I enjoy what I do.
From a game perspective, I do have Vent and I'm not afraid to use it! :) Times and places though, at raid time, it's about what the raid leader is instructing us to do, unless I'm spoken to outright.
I've been playing for approximately 4.5 years. I'm currently in Rabid Pandas and have been in RP since August 2007. I love RP, they are by far, the best guild I've been in. The decision to move on has been difficult to make and therefore, I evaluated what I want from this game and whichever guild I am a part of.
What I want:
1. A progression-minded guild (but not outright hard core).
10 and 25 man raid dungeons on normal mode are to me the equivalent of UBRS from back in the days of vanilla. Content on normal mode is completely pug-able, just like UBRS was (assuming someone had the key, lol). The true test of a guild and its ability to progress is the ability to do it heroic/hard mode after the place is cleared on normal. This is where RP has been struggling for some time, and as membership and raid attendance has fallen, it has become increasingly difficult to meet this goal.
2. Reasonable raid days/times.
While my current raid schedule is actually quite good, HotC's fits what I'm looking for the most.
3. Mature players.
I am an adult and can appreciate adult humor. I don't appreciate immaturity. From what I have gathered about HotC, it looks like we're on the same page.
4. Make new friends.
Again, I love RP and they have been my family for so long, however, several people have quit WoW all together, and some have moved on as well. The game just isn't as fun without friends you would consider like family!
What you can expect from me:
1. Promptness
I'm seldom late to raids. If I anticipate that I will be late or have to miss, I will post or communicate as such.
2. Preparedness
Flasks, food, elixirs, potions, bandaids, etc. Tre's cooking and First Aid are maxed. Of course, she's gemmed/enchanted.
3. Situational awareness
See that purple stuff on the ground? See that huge flame? Yeah, I'm not standing in it. (unless I'm supposed to be, ala General Vezax after shadow crash) Someone has been cursed? I'm hitting my decursive ASAP. Someone's been MC'd? Now they're a black cat.
4. My very best to bring the best DPS I can.
5. And lastly, Tre is cute as hell. She is without question, the cutest gnome on the server. :P
About Trelawny:
Tre is a gnome mage. I have been playing Tre as my main for approximately 4.5 years. Therefore, she has ALWAYS been my main toon. I do have other 80's that I play regularly. I have healed a few of your 10 mans on my priest, Sabria.
Tre has been a fire mage from the moment I started playing her, with the brief exception of playing arcane, when A'lar was the boss to kill. She played frostfire bolt spec at the release of Wrath, and it remains her off-spec.
I've kept the mage as my main because:
a. The fire spec has always been the most fun for me to play. I've never gotten bored with it.
b. Polymorph is such a great spell
c. So is Spellsteal (I look for the opportunity every chance I get to use it)
d. So many ways to manage situations - iceblock!! invis!! and polymorph, as mentioned above
e. Most of all, mages are absolutely self sufficient, and I appreciate that the most about the class
Tre completely spoils me with her ability to teleport all over the world, her Kirin Tor ring, her hearthstone, and she's an engineer. I have no trouble getting anywhere fast. I love that.
She can make her own food/water (best strudel in town!!), and several means to restore her mana.
These are all very basic functions of the class, and I am reminded to appreciate them when I sign on to another mana-based class that does not have these abilities at their disposal.
Because of these abilities, it's made me much more aware as a player of mana management, especially when I play my priest, for example. It (and pvp) also has taught me the value of self-preservation on Tre and things I can do to help myself to lessen the burden on healers.
I try to stay up to date with the mage class (and the priest class because I play her fairly often), via Elitist Jerks.
From my Armory link, you can see of course, my professions, Gnomish Engineering and Jewelcrafting, both maxed, and my gear. Also note my achievements from raiding, as well as outside of raiding. This shows that I don't just sign on to raid, and I didn't get my gear from badges. I worked for this stuff. I think it also says I'm around and interested in playing the game as a whole.
If you'd like to also speak with a few people in game, here are some people:
Luneden - Heroes of the Command
Vodax - Might and Magic
Dancn - Rabid Pandas
Kamadrin - Rabid Pandas
PST me in game on Trelawny or Sabria - I'm usually on one of them if you have any questions. Or if you'd like to talk with me on Vent, I'm open to that as well.
Thanks again for your time.
