Massive fleet battles filmed by a guy sitting cloaked 500km away from it. Very zoomed out most of the time, so all you see is icons fighting, but you can get the idea of just how many fucking people are fighting. And then when it zooms in, you are like o_O. Battle is sped up 2x so that its a smaller file.

Purple, blue, green=guys gang/allies
Red, yellow, white/clear=enemy fleet

Video starts off with the coalition fleet gathering everyone up, gangwarping to gates, and then into the battle. First battle is pretty boring with not much close up stuff, but then the second battle, around like 4:00 in, is just insane... the missiles are just o_O... and when it zooms in at 6:30 on the megathron trying to move into close range and getting pwnt by like 50 missiles and lasers it looks awesome ;).

Are there massive 50+v50+ battles in WoW? Or is that a feature coming soon™

Seriously, I have no clue what's going on in that movie.
It's far too complicated..What's wrong with plain: GUN, TARGET-games? :p
The music the editors added is good though!

Yes, and yes. Right now if a few raid groups (50) decide to go gank another town of opposing faction NPCs and another few choose to defend, it lags the fuck out of the server. I went on one anyway for tee-hees and it was a hectic spastic mess once the lag had cleared (loading everybody's customized appearance I guess). The whole nonpermadeath/resurrection makes it a little problematic for anything other than just bragging rights.

The Battlegrounds is supposed to make an ideal setting for PvP, we'll see if it lives up to the hype, and if we get it anytime soon or if Blizzard is totally occupied setting up another server farm so they can dump another 500,000 copies on the US/NA market.

Pretty impressive.

Reminds me of SG (only because of the MMO factor) a little, only set in space.

cheers, and

I've experienced large scale Eve PvP battles.

I've experienced large scale WoW PvP battles.

WoW is better.

Hell, even WoW 1v1 battles are more fun.

there's no need to slag on the other game here, I'm sure if I had gotten EvE instead I would be enjoying it too.

No doubt Eve was fun, just some things drastically needed work. But without a doubt the most fun is the RP PvP (PIE, Oracle).

My Eve character was Vile Requiem. I believe I had a little over 6 million skillpoints when I left many months ago.

Seriously though Drunk, if your want the absolute best PvP game ever, check out UO. There are tons of free servers, but here was the best I've played:www.ipyshard.com (http://)
