Hello !

Moon and I had been debating to post this app for years (literally), but now we feel its time we make the jump ! So here it is…

TL;DR version : Vira, Holy priest, and Moonfang, balance druid would like to have the opportunity of raiding with you. Thanks for your consideration! ;)

About Vira:

http://www.wowarmory.com/character-sheet.xml?r=Dalaran&cn=Vira&gn=Bushido

My name is Daniel, I work as a system's analyst in Montreal. I'm 36 and married. I've been playing WoW since January 2005, being in 2 guilds so far: First, the Warlords of Quebec, an eternity ago. Corb may remember me, I was playing my hunter at the time, Lecsel. Then in August 2005 I switched to Bushido where I found a home for more than 4 years now. I've been raiding MC and BWL (not so much AQ), TBC raids (up to BT) and closer to us, been doing the 25 man versions of Naxx and a little bit of Ulduar. Then I took a break for 4-5 months, only to discover that our good old alliance of Bushido-Transcendents had died, as well as my raiding opportunities. That's the main reason why I'm posting this app. Bushido is a great group of people (you must know this, you have a couple of ex-Bushies amongst your ranks), but it is time to move on, if I want to experience the fun of raiding again.

My main is a holy priest, Vira. I'm basically playing her exclusively now. I spend most of my free time chasing achievements with my wife, Moonfang. There is always something to do !

Me as a raider : I believe I am a pretty 'low-maintenance' raider : I show up if I say I'm going to show up, I flask up, bring a fresh stack of fish feasts, I'm gemmed, specced, enchanted properly, I read the strats (EJ forums too), etc. I know how to listen in vent, and how to use addons like Grid and Clique. I believe I can do what's necessary to achieve success. I also have a very (very) high tolerance to wipes. I'm not afraid of a couple of nights of wiping on a new boss.

I may not be the awesome incarnate, but I am always willing to take constructive criticism !

About Moonfang:

http://www.wowarmory.com/character-sheet.xml?r=Dalaran&n=Moonfang

My name is Micheline, and I am a technical support representative, in Montreal. I am 29 and yes, married to Vira, for better or for worst ;)

I’ve been raiding with him since MC (I was raiding with my rogue Caitline… I was the official Dark Iron Ore miner !). Moonfang is a balance druid and has been as long as I can remember. I will not repeat what Vira said, as I was there right by his side most of the time, and I have the same kind of experience he has in the game. I am patient and know how to listen to directions, and hit mobs hard J

Why did we choose HotC ?

The simple fact that this guild had been successful for so long speaks for itself. You built a very knowledgeable group, kept your key elements, been selective on your recruiting which rewarded you with a guild that is the envy of this server. Other 'raiding' guilds come and go, but you endure.

Also, we know few of you (mainly the old Bushies) like Sempronia and your new recruits Krang and Flinter, so we think I can blend in alright. (Don't ask us, we don't know anybody called 'Vishap'... sorry :P)

(… I shouldn’t say that, but Moon seems to worship Wiyld since he helped us for an OS run or something like that not that long ago… she keeps talking about him. I just hope he lives far away from Montreal…otherwise I’d be worried.)

Why 2 apps in one post ?

Moonfang and I are one of those couples that play WoW together: She brings the punch, I bring the pie ! Usually when one is available, the other one is too.

That’s why we prepared this application together…

But we can also be sold separately !

If you would prefer to have them in 2 separate threads, let us know and we’ll split them up !

Thanks for reading us !

Vira and Moonfang

P.S.: As you may have noticed by looking at our armory profile, we are still running after a jewelcrafter to get the new epic gems (we we out of the game for a couple of months, and you know how things change fast !) We should be up to speed with the new shinies tonight if we can get a hold of Krang !!! J

I am nobody important (no, really, not an officer or anything!) but looking at your priest, the gear level is pretty significantly behind what would be expected for our 25s. I recommend trying to pug (or get into some HotC groups) Trial regular mode 10 and 25 and upgrade some of your gear, or at least get some of the 10m triumph badge gear. The 10 for sure can be very easily pugged, probably most of the 25 too.

I'm sure someone officery will pop in with other comments or questions and stuff, just offering priesty commentary.

Thanks for your reply ! I am fully in agreement with you there. My gear was good when we were starting Ulduar-25 back then, but I am fully aware that I need to gear up some more if I really want to get my toon in competitive mode. I was hoping that I could get in some 10-mans and get to know you better, as pugs scare the hell out of me !

I didnt expect a spot right off the bat don't worry :) Its more of an introduction than anything. I am very patient. Right now, completing Ulduar-25 seem like an achieveable goal to me, and getting into 10-man ToC.

We've had a lot of luck recruiting couples in the past. Best of luck to you both! MOTHER TESTED, THEROC APPROVED!

I am going to re-apply when I find my 2nd (gamer) wife. It may be awhile cuz my current non-gamer wife is pretty awesome so you'll just have to stand by.

Here we go for my 2 cents, again if anyone remembers me!

Vira and Moonfang may not be the best geared, but while I was in bushido with them (and they were there LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONG before I was), they were two of the most stick-with-it players our 10 AND 25 man groups had, all the way from tier 4 in kara to way after I left for HotC.

Their patience and willingness to take input is also very impressive. Back in Bushido when we were taking the 2nd and 3rd groups through kara and the runs would take FOREVER, Vira and Moonfang were almost ALWAYS there making sure the newbies got their purples, even if it was 10 wipes on DONT STAND IN THE GODDAMN RED BEAM VISHAP DAMNIT.

They'll both be valuable additions, especially once they get to see the competitive and friendly atmosphere HotC brings, as by the time I was dropping back in on tier 5 content once in a while in BC Moonfang was tearing up the damage charts with flinter, and well, Vira is just one of the few healers we couldn't do the runs without, period, he and another player (Icarys) are basically as effective as 4 healers - no joke, I can't count the times we would lose a healer at the beginning of a fight and as long as it wasn't Vira or Icky, we were 100% golden, and if one of them DID drop, you knew, and you knew FAST.

Wow, thanks for the very kind words, Vish !

Sorry if we didnt contact one of the officers yet. One of my very close uncle had a stroke and is still fighting for his life. It messes up our game time for sure.

Don't Sweat anything too much Vira. Biggest things that you can do are be chatty when you can in game and out. Use the Shoutbox to get to know people. Also, when you are in game, join hotchat and chat with the people in there and try to get into some 5 or 10-mans with some folks.

Also, talk with Anilyn (healer / recruitment officer) when you get a chance. She won't be on too much this weekend until the raid Sunday, but you can usually catch her most evenings.

Vira and Moonfang!!! Great, now we're going to have to change the name of the guild to "Heroes of the Great White North Command by way of Bushido". Don't we already have enough Canadians in here? ;)

Actually both Vira and Moonfang are exceptional peeps and players. Sure they may be under-geared at the moment for our level of content, but acquiring gear is easy-shmeeze now days.

Vira and I go way back. As Vish mentioned, our tag team healers of Vira and Icarys would easily carry the entire raid while Moonfang would be tearing the opposition to shreds. Both would be valuable long term additions to our guild.

We have multiple 10 man teams running, and with the new content about to land, I'm sure there may be room for additional teams. As Luci mentioned, get in touch and involved with us as much as possible. You'll be surprised how fast you can gear up.

...so with all the raiding couples in this guild, do I now have to get my wife to play? If so, she'll make a great bank alt ;)

Fellow Canucks get my vote ;)

As said before hit people up in hotchat / shoutbox there are always runs going on for mains and alts both 10 and 25 and if not do something obscure or fun that others can join. ( I like to pvp sometimes :) ) Get to know us and let us get to know you.

Good luck in your app :)

As Luci mentioned a little bit in an earlier post, I definitely encourage you both to getting to know the HotC membership. Shoutbox, hotchat, grouping with us are all great ways to start getting to know us :)

Our raid times for 25mans are Wednesday and Sunday 7pm to Midnight server time. We do all our sign ups via forum pm, so if you are available, send a forum pm to Lucilyna and we can throw your name on there if there is an opening :)

Looking forward to chatting with both you in game :)

We worked pretty hard on gearing up this week-end, and thanks to the new random dungeon tool (this thing rocks) I replaced nearly ALL MY GEAR. Got 3/5 T9 now, and the emblem shoulders (which are better than the tier shoulders). Both my trinkets were replaced, my MH, and one of my rings. If you armory myself or Moon you'll see that we are in a much better shape now ! And to boot, I joined the ICC-10 'alt-run' that was going yesterday night with one of Chulainn's alts. (Cryptscourge was the Raid leader)

Really cool pleace. the Marrowgar fight was crazy as a healer ! I had a blast.

Can't wait to get the chance to group with some of you again :)

Heya all,

Just to let you know that Vira no longer plays WoW, and I am withdrawing my app.

Thanks for giving me a try.

Moonfang is withdrawing her app also, as far as 25-mans are concerned.

However, she would still like to participate in the 10-man ICC with Teldalin(AFK), Tass, Krang, Chu (Lucana), etc. if you still want her !
