Why did you go back to the Vendettas?


You have this aggressive army full of a bunch of intentionally close combat infantry, riding forward in chimeras with straken

You've got veteran squads with point blank range meltaguns aplenty sitting in valkyries along w/ a command squad w/ meltas

And then you give them all Vendettas, which are inherently defensive units that are only moving 6" and targetting tanks

Dewdzy, you have so much anti-tank it's not even fuckin' funny. Getting vendettas instead of mrp valks is leaving you in a really rough spot in terms of dealing with large infantry squads other than the executioners, who are often going to be targetting squads in cover due to their further back distance.

I suppose it works either way, but I'd go back to the valks personally

I thought alot about that and im still kinda on the fence because lists like yours and the ork lists require me to target so much armor. The i idea being that if i scout then move 6 drop 2 im still in melta range and getting the lascannon shots still. It also gives me the ability to sit back and shoot if need be. Still not sure, guess ill play test it this way and see if i like it, but against alot of lists im facing 9+ vehicles i need to kill quickly. Now those lists will need to target my vendettas as well creating somewhat of a target heavy environment.......i think lol.

This second version is definitely weaker than the first one.
Your Infantry squads have a 26" threat range in their Chimeras...
Move 12"
Get out 2"
12" Range melta
The meltas in the squads were also more useful against infantry...

4x WS3 T3 Bodies is NOT enough to soak up wound allocation.
