I couldn't think of a good title so I just threw that one up, but I've been thinking about sportsmanship and to what extent do most of you feel is an appropriate amount of leniency when it comes to:

Out of Phase events
(Ie. forgetting to move, disembark, shoot, assault)

Not declaring units in transports/reserves

Dice Inconsistencies
(cocked, rolling too many, not allocating)

I feel I'm pretty lax when it comes to gaming outside of tournaments, usually to my own detriment, :) ...
Mentioning moves to my opponent, allowing them to go back a turn to pop smoke, rolling for reserves in the shooting phase...
But, at what point is it considered "being strict to the point of dick-ish" and when are you just "hurting yourself"?

All this is just banter, there isn't a right or wrong, but I was curious about what players felt is considered being a "good sport" and when they are being a "rules lawyer".

I think allocation is important, more often than not b/c it helps my opponent than hurts him.

Other than that, I'm pretty lenient, especially on "obvious" things ... if my opponent forgets to pop smoke when there's no other time in the game it would make sense, I'm not going to go "ha ha" and take advantage of it.

Even in a tournament setting, I'm likely to be a lil relaxed about it. If I can't win against an opponent at his best, I don't deserve to sneak my way there b/c someone's forgetful.
