So I originally jested about doing it outside somewhere, with BBQ and girls in bikinis but I've been thinking... it's actually a really good idea.

I've pulled some info:

I haven't had a chance to contact them about space and number of picnic tables, but it's reasonable to believe that SGi, as I said it here first I'm giving you first dibs, could schedule it for a weekend in August, get enough space for upwards of 50+ gamers(most of them have multiple over hangs that cover 10-20 tables).

Parks open at 7am-Dusk which in august will be about 7:40pm

You could then take "donations" for food and beverage tickets.
Include 25% overhead for families and kids

I suggest $30-35 entry fee
$15-20 Family donation
$10 Food donation (2x hotdogs / 1x hamburger + chips, 1xsoda(coke/sprite))

I am, however, going to request that the proceeds to go to Breast Cancer, as a "finders/idea fee"

Getting buns, hotdogs, burgers, chips, soda @ Costco should minimize up front cost - $250
25+ 6x4 pieces of wood - $200
Sand - $10
Paint - $30
Spray Paint - $50
Fee for Park Authority - varies
Truck - free perhaps
Prizes - $200... donated perhaps from GW?

We are looking at an initial cost of $1000 ~ roughly
$1500-1750 from gamers (50 expected)
$350 roughly from gamer food
$200 from family food
$100 from family entry fees

I think we want to shoot for 300% of our costs...?
That sound reasonable?

Thoughts & comments welcome.
If you guys don't pick this up I will probably try to organize one for next year etc.

If you give me around a 30 day notice, I can get soda at cost. 20oz bottles or cans, whichever you prefer.

Also, are we talking 100% to charity minus prizes (maybe) for like the top three and such?
