How’s it going HotC’ers? It’s been approximately three years since I last wrote a guild application so I may be rusty. Ironically enough the last guild I applied to those three years ago happened to be… HOTC! So here’s to hoping I go 1 for 2.

Ipokedu and me

Ipokedu and I have been going out for the past 8 months. We are applying as a couple. I fully understand that our apps will be judged individually. however we will accept or reject admission together.

Background

http://www.wowarmory.com/character-sheet.xml?r=Dalaran&n=Mankostalker

I play a level 80 night elf combat rogue by the name of Mankostalker. This character has been my main raiding toon since the fall of 2006. I’ve played a rogue for years, I know my class and role very well.

Why HotC?

I’m a starving college student who works 2 part time jobs. While I could realistically join a “hardcore” guild during the summer, my free time will diminish once school starts up again. I came from a guild that only raids nine hours a week. HotC and I share the same approach to playing wow. Being able to experience end-game content on a busy schedule and still have a life.

What you can expect out of me?

Should I be admitted, HotC will be getting more than just a rogue that will fill out the roster. HotC would be getting a player who is passionate about playing his class to the fullest. One who will come to a raid ready with flasks, food buffs, properly gemmed/enchanted gear and will not shy away from the friendly competition of “who’s #1 on damage?” Most importantly, if admitted I guarantee I will mock Corb for not being able to pronounce incapacitate.

Guild history

Somewhat Fantastic- I’ve been a part of Somewhat Fantastic for the past two years. Experienced all TBC content save for Sunwell with these guys. While I think there is a great group of people in that guild, I no longer saw eye to eye with their leadership thus my reason for leaving.

Holier than thou- Let’s just say Goe’s experiment didn’t last long?

Legion of Grace- I ran with LoG through the tail end of WoW classic. They fell apart when half of the guild transferred to Drenden and half stayed here on Dalaran.

Some alts that you might catch me on

Mankodonkus- Shaman

Chriswaters- Warlock

Chriscorb- Paladin (That's right I named a toon after my favorite french canadian)

Final Note

I’ve joined Hotchat. I am available to raid on Wednesday and Sunday nights. Avid likes men.

Soooooooo...this is Manko and he does my drycleaning.

In all seriousness, this guy plays wow like its his job and is, without a doubt, the second best rogue on Dalaran. When starting our 10 man, which he leads with an MVB-like dedication, I was taken not only by his great dps and knowledge of the rogue class (I didn't even have to tell him how to set up a dps-Tricks rotation) but also his ability to instantly grasp personal play issues and address them in a constructive, professional manner. In my opinion, he is a great player, leader, and would make a first rate Hotc raider.

Gotta say this - I am on my way out the door. Manko and his knowledge and with the way dual spec works - he would make a great drop in replacement for either Finnion healing on the shaman or Chu for dps on the rogue. Manko knows his mechanics and that, imo, outweighs his love for Avid's tender areas. I just feel sorry for Ipoke... having to dress up like Avid all the time to satisfy Mank's needs.

Manko has always been a friend and always enjoy running with him. Great guy and a great player even though he is a huge nub and likes to dance naked alot.

Good luck in your app, I would say join hotchat and pester people but you have been doing that for awhile now ;)

Thanks for app'ing Manko ... I'll take your wimminz and dat's it.

J/k of course ...

As you're aware, it shouldn't be hard to transition from a guild that raids 9 hours a week to one that raids 8 hours a week.

Chat me up in-game tonight pre raid .. I'll be on around 6'ish.

Manko Manko Manko... what can I say about you to do you justice? Manko has always been there lurking in the background of hotchat and other channels ready to brighten my day (dont be jealous Ipokedu! :P). Always willing to help out on a pinch on one of his many alts, always fully prepped for anything you can throw at him, great guy, great personality and great dps to boot! Plus he makes fun of telva and nayle where is always fun :P

Good Luck on your app's Manko and Ipokedu, hoping to see you in the green chat when i do manage to log on, lol :)

Mankostalker was one of our best DPSers, and outstanding player and a great behind-the-scenes help in guild administration. He always came prepared, both in attitude and knowledge.

While this won't come as any news to those of you who know him from his prior stay in HotC, I mostly say it for those of you who many not know him. He's a great raiding asset, very reliable, very good guy.

Big thumbs up!

Great guy.... but don't count him on traps in the suppression room. He just can't do it.

You might not have ever been in HotC but you raided with HotC in real Naxx.

I could say that I endorse this application, but you guys wouldn't trust me anyways. I mean we could be throwing our leftovers out on you....but ya, Manko is a good guy but his math is awful, 3 nights * 2.5 hours is not 9, it isn't even 8. It is a good thing he is still trying to go to college to work on his education.

Telva its on account of Manko giving 120% and the relativistic nature of space-time... makes it 9 hours for him subjetively.

Thank you very much for the invite tonight HotC. Had a very good time despite my computer giving me serious lag issues.
