Sportsmanship
3 Points - We shared a perfect game
2 Points - We had multiple rules discussions and/or a few disagreements
1 Point - We had so many discussions and/or a few disagreements we didn't make turn 5
0 Points - I guess you could call it a game...

2 points - In an homage to Kevin, I will be adding a single quiz question to each sheet worth 2 points taken from the BGB. Each player must answer this question and may not consult with others. As this area will undoubtedly be filled with lots of 3's I will do my best to find obscure and difficult scenarios to make these more challenging.

Before signing up, what is your ruling on Valkyrie movement / targetting / disembarkation / etc.?

I approve of and endorse the BOLSCON ruling (www.belloflostsouls.com) but would like to know before I subject my 9 valks to an unavoidable series of sportsmanship-dinging rules discussions :)

Quick FAQs
Q: What do I measure from when firing at, disembarking from, or passing near a Valkyrie and Vendetta?
A: For the purposes of armor facing, disembarking, and the 1" rule, only count the hull of the vehicle -- ignore the tail and wings. For determining range to the model, use the model as normal. Ignore the height of the model when embarking or disembarking; models get in and out of Valkyries and Vendettas at the height of the base.

If the center of the blast is over the wing it is still full strength according to this Unofficial FAQ.
This is how it will be played at the tournament

Q: How do I assault a Valkyrie?
A: Move into contact with the base of the model. Moving under the model to reach the base is fine.

Again this is how I thought it was played, so also will be this way at the tournament.

Q: When Al'Rahem's Infantry Platoon outflanks, how do they enter play?
A: When the single roll for the Platoon indicates they enter play, each unit within the Platoon rolls individually to determine upon which board edge they outflank.

(edited)
"Each infantry platoon counts as a single Troops choice on the force organization chart when deploying, and is rolled for collectively when rolling for reserves." (Pg 36 IG Codex)

All these are taken from BoLS

My original post here was incorrect.

Q: Can a Valkyrie or Vendetta contest and/or claim an objective?

A: No. As the flying base places the model, on average, 5" away from the table top that is outside 3". Units can still Deep Strike or Disembark onto objectives to contest or claim.

Q: Does a Deff Rolla affect enemy
vehicles that are rammed?

A: Yes. A Ram is "a special kind of Tank Shock"
"A basketball is a special type of ball. A basketball is still a ball". This is contrary to how the IFL or Adepticon ruled it.

Q: Does Weaken Resolve effect a unit of Orks Leadership if they use the Mob Rule?

A: Yes. Rites of Battle is also effected, however, Book of St. Lucius is not per it's specific wording. This is contrary to how the IFL ruled.

Some Adopted ArdBoyz FAQs
Forces of the Inquisition
• Inquisitorial armies may take Imperial Guard and Space Marine allies, chosen from the latest versions of their codices. As both of these codices have changed recently, use the following amendments to the list on pg 30-31 of the Daemon Hunters book and page 26
of the Witch Hunters book:
Troops
Space Marine Tactical Squad, Space Marine Scout Squad, Imperial Guad Infantry Platoon, Imperial
Guard Veteran Squad. Unit upgrade characters may NOT be taken (i.e. Commander Chenkov, Sergeant Bastonne)
Fast Attack
Space Marine Assault Squad, Land Speeder Squadron, Space Marine Bike Squadron, Scout Sentinel Squadron, Armored Sentinel Squadron, Rough Rider Squad, Scout Bike Squad
Heavy Support
Space Marine Devastator Squad, Space Marine Land Raider (Crusader and Redeemer as well), Space Marine Dreadnought, Space Marine Predator, 0-1 Leman Russ Squadron (Pask may NOT be taken)

Imperial Guard
• Imperial Guard may take Inquisitorial Allies as defined in Codex Daemonhunters or Codex Witchhunters.
• Grey Knight Terminators may not travel in Valkyries or Vendetta Gunships

How does the Officer of the Fleet interact with wargear like Positional Relay, that has an effect outside of the normal reserve function?

The Positional Relay will be treated as a separate roll outside of "normal" reserves. The 2+ will not be effected by OotF. Likewise the Autarch's +1 is still in effect. however, as you might imagine, the modifiers will offset each other for +0.

Assuming I don't have anything else going on that Saturday I'll probably be down for it. Can't tell you for sure right now, but I'm willing to bet I could make it.

You're in there Ryan. I do have 1 player signed up who signed up last time as well and 'No Show No Call'-ed so I'm going to assume Mr. Gatewood will do it again.
While we are full I'm up for Alternate Sign Ups as well.

PM me with a phone&email so I can contact you should we have changes.

Chris, I may not be able to make it. Something I forgot about schedule wise.

I'm going to see if my buddy Joe from Germantown can attend. He's a good player, runs a good list, so it wouldn't be a detriment to the tourney.

I'll let you know ASAP what the dealio is.

Sounds good.
I know you're just scared to lose in a high pressure situation.

Don't worry even the best come up short sometimes. :)

Here, let's do it this way - banking on my status as "best 40k player in the region" (uncontested mostly due to its utterly bunk nature), put me up against the winner of the tournament, without telling me his or her list, 20 times in a row.

I'll bet I go 20-0

Isn't Bing above you in the standings, #2?

So #2, what have you to say for yourself? Numbah Two?
:)

Bing phased out a Necron in 3 turns in his single game.

Duh motherfucker.

And here was a perfect opportunity for the clubs to meet head on.

How are you going to get more IFLers over if you don't participate in our events? :)

...
Numbah Two.
